Then was drafted on September 29th and was trained to be a bombardier. His planes name was Superman and had a picture of superman on the side holding a bomb in one hand and a machine gun in the other the gun looked like a shovel and the bomb a dagger. In april Louie's team went on a bombing run end their plane was beat up. Then about a month later they went on a search and rescue mission, the plaje they used was used for savlationing parts from it the name of it was Green Hornet. They went out 850 miles above the ocean a engine went out. They crashed and 8 of the 11 men died. After 27 days a plane came down after seeing their flare and started machine gun fire they then found out that it was japanese fire. One of the three men Francis “MAC” Mcnamara ate all of the chocolate the they salvaged from the pack of goods that they got. They caught a albatross, shark, and other fish. Then after 33 day Mac died Louie said a brief eulogy then slipped him into the sea. Then 2 weeks later they saw land but they were seen by the japanese they were taken to Execution Island. After 43 days the were sent to a Prisoner of war camp. At the camp their guard Mutsuhiro “The Bird” Watanabe was a very cruel man.
