Sri Lanka should reach 100% institutional delivery level. It helps to further reduce the maternal and infant mortality.
Sri Lankan mothers migrate foreign countries as housemaids to increase the economic condition of their families. This is one of the major income in Sri Lanka. But her children loose her protection. It directly effects to the child mortality and malnutrition. The government should introduce barriers to migrate women as housemaids, especially mothers who have small children. Sri Lanka should encourage to male workers to go abroad.
It is necessary to introduce a pension scheme and health care system for the elders. Otherwise demographic transitions would be a financial problem in their families.
It is important to pay attention on non-communicable diseases. Health sector should launch awareness programmes to prevent non-communicable diseases. On the other hand, health facilities should be improved in the government and private hospitals.
It is more important to invest finance on medical experiment and it would improve the medical sector of the country.
The government should improve the participation in Non-Government Organizations (NGO) to provide the health care facilities. It would reduce the financial burden of the government.
The tourist industry is a major income source in Sri Lanka. If private sector encourages more, Sri Lanka can develop the medical tourism. It would be an extra income for the country.
Demand for the private healthcare has restricted mainly in urban areas. The government should introduce expand mechanisms to increase the private health institutions in the country. On the other hand ministry of health should introduce a proper mechanism to examine private sector health institutions.

Samurdhi programme can be used as minimize the alcohol and tobacco usage in Sri Lanka. Illegal alcohol usage in very high level in Sri Lanka. The relevant authority should take actions to minimize this situation.
Sri Lanka should produce at least simple medical instruments and drugs to save foreign exchange.
It is hard to find finance resources for the health development due to the limited financial capacity of the government. However, it is better to ordered health requirements and offer financial support to more prioritized needs. It helps more efficient and effective health service. It would improve accessibility and availability of health service delivery, especially for vulnerable groups in the society.
The government should provide the political leadership to implement the necessary reforms in the health sector in Sri Lanka.
