Individuals that cannot form these type of relationships have failed and are more propense to having depression as well as isolating themselves. In the stage of generativity vs. stagnation the main goal is for adults to help in the others or nurture their children, leave something positive behind. Generativity refers to leaving a mark in the world, feeling a sense of accomplishment in which the individual feels pride in his or herself. If the individual does not feel this sense of accomplishment they may become disconnected from the world, feeling unproductive. The professionals that work within University Medical Center range from housekeeping, paramedics, nurses, phlebotomists, doctors, respiratory therapists, social workers, case managers, physical therapists, etc. In the department of Infection Control, there were two nurses that would oversee and monitor the infections in patients.
