There are many tragic events that happen in our world. But nothing is scarier than when it comes to the death of someone else committed by another person. In our world today, many sad and devastating events happen. There are many crazy people in our world. Some, whose names are still very well known nation wide due to some of the tragic events they have caused us. Even some that have happened many years ago. There is one man that stands out because of the tragedy he has brought to our world that no one will ever forget. His name is Charles Manson. Charles Manson is known as the worlds number one serial killer. Charles Manson he began a cult when he was in his twenties, went to prison numerous times and committed some murders people today will never forget.
Charles Manson was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on November 12, 1934. He was the son of Kathleen Maddox: a sixteen year old prostitute. His mother was not ready to be a mother. She drank a lot and often didn't care for Charles. At one point in her life she was sentenced to prison for five years for robbing a West Virginia gas station. Because of this, Charles had spent most of his time traveling to various relatives and often at special reform schools and boys homes. At one point he was sent to live with his aunt and uncle, who didn't treat him right either. By age nine, Charles Manson had already started stealing and getting into a lot of fights at school. As you can see his child hood was a mess that only progressed with age. That soon became a habit that lead to even worse situations.

When this did not happen he told his “family” that they must show the blacks how to do it. Manson ordered four of his followers to a man named Terry Melchers house. One of the men that did not help him with his music career when he was trying to get one. What Manson did not known was that Terry had moved out and no longer lived there. Instead, an actress, Sharon Tate and her husband lived there. Manson visited the house asking for Melcher, but was turned away as Melcher had moved. On August 9, 1969 Manson and his “family” returned to the house and killed Tate, her unborn child and four guest that were visiting Tate at the time. Her husband was on vacation at this time. This murder was one of the most world wide known murders out of all of Mansons murders.
Charles Manson, who is known today as the notorious criminal for the murder of not just one individual, but many. There are many books, movies, and journals about him and his actions that put society on pause for a while. As many today from past history, Charles Manson was a cult leader from the 1960’s. Charles then formed his cult from a group of unstable people. He persuaded his group to believe that he was of a higher power; therefore, they followed him like a god. Charles Milles Manson (Charles Milles Maddox) was born November 12, 1934 in a large city called Cincinnati, Ohio. Son of Kathleen Maddox and Walker Scott (his biological father). He took William Manson’s last name (Kathleen’s husband). By the age of 16 Kathleen was an alcoholic and a prostitute. She married William Manson before Charles was born, so he never got to know his biological father. Kathleen and William’s marriage didn’t last long, they soon got a divorce.
