Korea is a unique country which blends traditions of China and Japan and makes it their own. This essay will explain the relationship between Korea and these other countries.
700,000 thousand years ago, people started to live in Korea and areas around it. The Neolithic Age began about 8,000 years ago, so Korea was inhabited long before the Stone Age. Relics from that period can be found throughout the Korean Peninsula, mostly in coastal areas and in areas near big rivers.
Korea is on a peninsula that comes out of Asia and points towards Japan. Korea is fairly isolated, and is separated from China by mountains and a river. In fact, mountains cover most of Korea which makes farming difficult. Because of this people mostly live on the western coastal plains. Korean people rely heavily off marine life for their food because of the numerous excellent harbors Korea has. All these characteristics contribute to some unique traits about the people who live in Korea.
