The stereotypical image correlated to the account mirrors that of a public accountant. An individual working as a public accountant can expect to work as an independent third party to a multitude of companies. As this third party it is their duty to oversee financial transactions to ensure that the statements of not only the company, but also its’ supporting companies, correctly correspond and match up to the position, results and cash-flow of the clientele. This general quota outlining a public accountants job description is not the same for a private accountant. The main difference between a public and private accountant is that unlike the public and its handle on a multitude of accounts, a private accountant specializes with a certain company or field. With this specialization, a private accountant tackles setting up a system that records the transactions within the business. The recordation of the transactions is then generated into statem...

In cultures in which it is quite acceptable to change jobs every few years, employees can build the career they choose for themselves. They can stay with one company as long as it is mutually beneficial to the company and employee. As long as good relationship exists and the employee’s career is advancing at an acceptable pace, the employee can remain with a company. Super’s theory of career choice focuses on five different life stages. At each stage different experiences and decisions influence and shape persons working lives. These five life stages include; growth (birth-14), exploration (15-24), establishment (25-44), Maintenance (45-64), Decline (65+) (Kleynhans, 2006). An example of this theory prescribes by personal development map since, the growth stage in which I developed a passion for accounting. The exploration stage is when I found a job ,as a accountant clerk to a construction company and until my 24 years old ,I have changed another job as an accountant in Alexander the Great Hotel and at the same time I was study ACCA . In the meanwhile, I became a mother so my priorities have been changed and I stopped my studies.‘Women have split dreams” (Josselso 1978,Roberts and Newton 1986 ),so I stopped my studies for a whole.
The reason I decided to pursue a career in accounting is because I have always been interested in the business world and accounting is considered a basic tool of business. I have worked for small and large business firms; also in private and public sectors which helped me develop a strong linking with the industry as a whole and solidified my interest in accounting.
In the present day organisations are expanding their operations to different countries of the world. They therefore need people to work there “expatriates”. Once the international assignment is completed, the expatriates have got to go back home, the process of repatriation begins. Even though most expatriates and managers presuppose that the repatriation process will be easy seeing as the employee is just returning home, research has substantiated that this is a tricky process. There is indication that it could be more difficult to adjust to the home environment as opposed to adjusting to life in a foreign nation. Therefore, repatriation process ought to be considered keenly (Baruch et al 2002).
Change is inevitable. Yogi Berra once said “The future ain’t what it used to be.” It is clear that the future of the accounting profession ain’t what it used to be (Gormon and Hargadon 1). The changes occurring are happening fast, they are dynamic and they are completely and undeniably real. Since the world around the accountant is changing, the accountant has no option but to change as well. The field of accounting has always been one to know change and to know adjustment, but within the recent past and certainly within the next few decades, the changes that are occurring and will occur absolutely are the most dramatic and exponential yet. Obvious changes lie in the expanding scope of services performed by accountants, the increased use of

I grew up in Barrow, Alaska, home of the Inpuiat; however, I’m full Filipino. All throughout school, I would learn about the Inupiat culture and even practice the traditions. This way of life has become apart of who I am, but it isn’t the only thing that makes up my identity. I was born here in Alaska, making me a United States Citizen. However, a couple a years ago, I became a citizen of the Philippines-making me a dual citizen. Although I am a dual citizen and full Filipino, there’s not much that I can say when it comes to my heritage and where I come from. Sure, I eat Filipino food and can understand what my parents are saying when they speak to me in Tagalog, but there’s not much more than that. I don’t know enough of who I
