Canada is the one of the most beautiful countries around the world, and most people dream of going to Canada and live a life of freedom, unity and multiculturalism. I was one of those people who dreamed to come here because it’s the country that offers support for all people who need help, and it has a great education program. I didn’t know too much about Canada, as I had only read books about it and had an idea that ways of life or culture were very similar with the USA. I still remember that day September 30, 2009, alongside my two sisters traveling to a new world, new opportunities, and a place where dreams could come true. The health care system is accessible for all people, and available at no cost because the Canadian government believes improving individual health. Secondary, Canada is a bilingual county in which people can learn both English and French in school, communicating openly to one another using their language of preference. My third point is the diverse culture of Canada, I have been able to meet many new people from a variety of different cultures including: Korean, Chinese, Ukrainian, or Russian and learn from them different traditions or values. Coming to and living in Canada has influenced me to be who I am today because it has allowed me to feel self-confident by allowing me to access education and employment. I feel safe within the county because of the protection of the government laws. Being in Canada, has helped me establish a clear view of who I am and what I want to pursue. I have been able to adapt to a new culture different than mine, and the importance of patience rather than discipline. Furthermore, the most important impact living in Canada has had on me was the improvement of my understanding and ability to speak the English language. By communicating to others, going to school, making new friends and exploring this new country, I have been able to express what I want to say clearly in a different way that I previously would have.
