Enid Coleslaw suffers from depression. Daniel Clowe’s graphic novel Ghost World is a coming of age story that centers on two opinionated teenage girls trying to navigate life after high school. It is the story of the slow death of a friendship. Enid, unlike her best friend since childhood, Rebecca Doppelmeyer, feels trapped in her suburban hometown and lacks any real direction in life.
