What event caused the Civil Rights Movement to begin: Brown vs. Board of Education, the Emmett Till Murder, or the arrest of Rosa Parks? The boycott was ignited once the arrest of Rosa Parks occurred. Although this mainly began with it revolving around men and women choosing not give up their seats to a white person. This was carried out by Everyone who rode buses and other transportation systems. The reason being for this is override the system to our people were allowed to our full privileges and rights.
