Emilia is being really demanding and acting as if she has authority due to the fact that she knows about Desdemona's death,and what caused it; as a result, Emilia starts to insult Othello for killing Desdemona,and Othello starts to be concerned about Emilia knowing why he killed Desdemona.He starts to question himself about why he did it and now regrets killing Desdemona because of the handkerchief. As a right now all he wants is for her to remain silent since now she has authority over him because of what she knows.
In the beginning of Act 5 .Scene 2. Emilia already knows about the death of Desdemona and the violence that occurred;however,this is when she is really hypocrite acting as if she doesn't know anything because she wants to be well informed of what really happened.She starts to ask questions that she knows the answers to.She is just playing dumb just to get information.This is when she uses leading questions.Since according to Act 5 .Scene 2 at the beginning .lines 90-130,108-115.It stated “My lord I need to talk to you .(Emilia) “Yes”9 Othello” please let me speak to you “(Emilia)”I had forgotten about you (Othello) “Oh my lord terrible murders have been committed out there!(Emilia)”What?Just …show more content…
