Many people in their life will lie about anything. Whether it be about lechery, false accusations, or just simply the fact that they would lie about the littlest things. In addition, many people don’t want to talk about something that they did that would initially hurt the ones they love: so of course this is what John Proctor did. Lying is and always will be a horrible idea. For an example, just think about all the lies and false accusations Abigail made in The Crucible. More importantly, think about the moment when Elizabeth Proctor lied about the most rippling effect in the book. To begin with, she was concerned about the situation with her husband, John Proctor and Abigail Williams so nonetheless. She contentiously talked with John but he was being evasive and did not want to talk about it. As in any other relationship, the significant other would try to handle it evasively and try to be the victim when the situation comes to cheating. So in any other relationship, both of them do not want to believe the other person has cheated. They end up telling themselves that they didn’t because they love them too much. Like when Elizabeth knew about John and Abigail but she still told the court that John was a good man and was not a lecher. The ripple in the story was primarily when Elizabeth told the lie about John and him not committing lechery. As soon as she told the lie, it caused Abigail to get off the hook for every single thing she did in Salem and it consequently had John dying in the …show more content…

In which occurs during the era when Arthur Miller was alive. McCarthyism was a false accusation of people supposedly being a Communist without any proper evidence. As well as the witchcraft in The Crucible. If someone were to put lie upon lie, the situation will obviously get much more worse than it already was before. Everybody does lie about specific things, but they don’t intentionally let it build up and cause an even worse consequence, it’s just common sense. People in Barrow also lie about stuff, specifically about personal situations. As well as being evasive about certain situations. Like when someone who cheated on their significant other, or when someone did this or that, it can also relate to drugs. Drugs, cheating, stealing, etc, is just some people here in Barrow that don’t necessarily want to talk about in public, they’d rather talk about it in private because in this community, everyone knows everyone since Barrow is so
