"Education reform comprises any planned changes in a way a school or school system functions, from teaching methodologies to administrative process" ("Education Reform,2018"). Education has made many phenomenal changes over t. he past 100 years. Through providing more locations, free opportunities, and programs that assist every student, education has become more student approachable then it might have been a century ago. Through the many changes throughout education some methods have been successful and used consecutively and some methods have not left such positive effects on the educational system and have been removed or changed.

The ending of segregation is a positive change to education because of several reasons. The conclusion of segregated school laid the foundation for several things to happen, such as funding opportunities that are used now. For instance, according to some research, during Barack Obamas presidency announced that a grant would fund underprivileged schools to create more opportunities and provided resources to help students to succeed. "SIGs are designed to fund significant reforms in "consistently lowest-achieving" Title I and Title I-eligible schools.49 SIG-funded schools receive up to $2 million annually for three years to improve student outcomes" (EngagedScholarship@CSU, 2015). The amount of teaching that students and educators rely on to get through lessons can be harmful to the learning process. Since technology has become more accessible and reliable students tend to rely on the computer give them answers instead of learning the information and its importance. According to an article found on in the web Grand Canyon library, "Another criticism of technology in education is that technology may be hindering skill development among school-aged children" (Chmiel, 2014, page 112). Teachers should have allowed time for technology to be an aspect of the instructional day, but also make sure to still make time to include the basic skills such as verbal and written
