I support that the idea of drone use in warfare. Drones can reduce death from wars. We can use drones to keep our country safer. “ Drone operators use joysticks to pilot drones over targets thousands of miles away.” (source A) Military use drone to shoot missiles to suspected terrorists in Afghanistan and Iraq so that way they have a safer way to get rid of terrorists. In some places Amazon use drones to deliver packages within 30 min at the same day that you place your order.
Drones are everywhere farmers use drones to spread seeds, Hollywood directors shoot films with drones with high quality camera and also the police use drones to find suspected peoples. “A pizzeria in Brooklyn, New York, recently did a test delivery of a pizza using drone.”(Source A) In the future drones may be use to delivering emergency medical supplies, and other important supplies within a faster time. But there is some disadvantage of drone use. Drones can be out of control when there is a strong wind gusts or some connecting issues that might lose control of the drone and crash into buildings or trees. Twenty states has regulate drones if you want to fight a drone you must have a license but you can only fight in during day time and now higher than 400 feet within the operator's sight.

This can help decrease our deaths from warfare and keep our people safe. Drones can make United States safer by decimating terrorist networks across the world. We use drones to make our troops safer in Afghanistan. Drones do make mistake drones have killed fewer civilians.” In comparison, in World War II, civilian deaths, as a percentage of total war fatalities, are estimated at 40 to 67%.” ( Source J) Drones can make US military personnel safer it can “minimizing the risk of injury and death that would occur if ground soldiers and airplane pilots were used instead.”( Source
One of the benefits of the Drone is preserving U.S. life. Drones can now replace surveillance missions inside enemy territory without risking the pilots capture and death. Drones are able to slip across borders without risking lives of pilots. They can linger in foreign countries and scout potential threats for a long period of time. They can then decide when to strike the target with minimal civilian casualties. (E-IR) Drones are also able to strike a target with better targeting strategies due to the pilot being removed from the cockpit. (E-IR) Besides the capability for a drone to just hunt down a ...
Current usage of the commercial drones is pretty basic and only involved in the usage as delivery drones . Which means it will deliver the items on the time. Humans makes mistake or deliver the wrong package, the machines don’t .The machines only follow the instruction and only do what is instructed to them . Also humans get tired machines don’t. Usage of delivery drones will definitely reduce the human labor force which could be for better or worst . Advancement of the commercial Drones will help us save many lives. For example Commercial drones c...
Military drones do have purposes other than being a weapon; the devices can be used to deliver medical aid and other humanitarian supplies. Military drones can aid in investigation of IHL/LOAC violations, search and rescue operations, reconnaissance and surveillance. Through transparency, over sight and consequences for those who decide to go against established proce-dure, The United States can create via customary law the manner these military drones will be used and still adhere to IHL/LOAC. The question, are military drones legal depends on what their mission is, how they are equipped and whom you ask.
Other reasons it can prevent bad stuff like a lot of stuff that you can even imagine. What I mean by bad stuff is like crime, wars and etc.. It really good to get commercial drones for many reasons. Another aspect of commercial drones market is a safety issue("Brings out report on commercial drones market ").
In movies, aliens are always seen and monsters shooting innocent people and taking over their land. Since 2001 this has become reality, but the alien ships have turned into military drones shooting down civilians, and the monster turn into the country in control of these machines. Drones are unmanned aircraft which may be armed for hazardous missions that endangers many lives; this has impacted our military in many ways. The usage of drones was the results of the attacks on the world trade center of Sep 11. 2001. The United States has used drones to kill terrorists in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Yemen, Somalia, among countries. This has ended many innocents’ lives and has provoked more issues than have solved. Drones should be removed from our military services. America would be safer without drones; they create more enemies than they destroy. Drones have also caused numerous civilians casualties, which violates international laws. Not to mention that this
“I learned that courage was not the absence of fear but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear” (Nelson Mandela). Similarly, this idea is seen multiple times in the novel The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini. In this book a young boy named Amir who lives in Afghanistan experiences a traumatic event in his early childhood that tests his bravery. Unfortunately, Amir proves in this stage of his life that he does not possess bravery. After this event, Amir experiences other small occurrences that call for courage and slowly make him more brave. Eventually, Amir returns to Afghanistan where his bravery is tested once again and the chance to redeem himself is presented. The main factors
In the United States, people worried that drones would be used near their home because they are equipped with a camera and that makes people feel restless or uncomfortable when a drone is nearby. A lot of people don’t realize that drones flying around neighbors are not much, but if we take privacy into account then that’s certainly a problem. They build their own drones purely for entertainment. They used them to make a video or compete in a sport called drone racing.
Fighting in combat is much more difficult than what it was in the past. The use of technology has really been used within the military to protect our soldiers. It is much more dangerous to be in a war because of technology, money reasons, and the difficulty to fight back. The usage of drones in the military is a huge advantage and should not be banned to use them.
The use of drones as weapons of war and delivery and surveillance systems should not be dismissed because many people do not realize the real capabilities of drones and how they can be used to better the world through efficient air strikes, faster delivery times, and useful surveillance. Some of the most common misconceptions about drones arise due to the lack of knowledge about what drones are. A drone is a remote controlled, pilotless aircraft that can be used to survey an area, conduct stealth missions, and deliver supplies into difficult to reach areas (Drone). Unmanned aircraft are also, contrary to popular belief, not solely machines that kill without even a thought to who is being fired upon. They have proved to be effective surveillance units in areas that may be dangerous for manned aircraft to fly, along with the potential to be reliable delivery units (Drones).
Use of drone strikes saves the lives of American troops. Drones were built to protect pilots, ground troops and save lives. Some people believe that using drones decreases risk to all soldiers. As stated in, Should the United States Continue Its Use of Drone Strikes Abroad?, ProCon.org. "
Although they have been used in positive ways by both civilians and military personnel, they also can lead to more harm than good. These machines should not be freely released to the public, their use should be closely monitored in order to ensure the safety of those mentioned in these articles: pilots, prisoners, and everyday citizens so that these occurrences can be overseen and, if need be, prosecuted. The fact that there are various incidents of drones assisting in stealing people’s information and are interfering with planes putting out wild fires should attest to the idea that drones do need to be registered as soon as they are released to the public. Nevertheless, these drones can also be used for purposes to help people, such as being “increasingly used to provide valuable low-cost information to public agencies, including surveillance of remote areas and public safety, such as flood, fire, surf patrol and traffic management” (Wallace, 2015). With technology continuously advancing, who knows what else people will use these devices for and it is not ethical to continue to let these drones interfere with people’s personal lives as well as put others in danger while in use.
Another name for drones are Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVS). These are “aircraft either controlled by ‘pilots’ from the ground or increasingly, autonomously following a pre-programmed mission” (Cole 4). Even though there are many unique types of drones, but they usually fall under two main categories: ones that are armed and equipped with missiles and bombs and others that are used for surveillance. In the past couple of years the use of drones has increased dramatically. The reason being because “unlike manned aircraft they can stay aloft for many hours and are flown remotely so there is no danger to the flight crew” (Cole 13). There are drones that can actually fly over more than fifty hours. In countries such as Afghanistan and Iraq, the Predator and U.S Reaper are physically there. Cause of the power of technology th...
“The scary thing about the future, there will be tiny cameras everywhere, and they'll be flying around like mosquitoes. Drones are scary” (qtd in Mikkelson), American cartoonist and wordsmith Matt Groening talks about his fears of living in a world of mosquito sized drones, recording everything. Drones are unmanned aircrafts, often remote-controlled, capable of flying around with camera. The supporters of drones claim that drones have immense potential to make human lives better so their use should be encouraged whereas the opposers argue that drones violate privacy so their use must be minimized. Directed by James Ponsoldt, The Circle is a Sci Fi thriller rotating around the life of Mae Holland, who gets an opportunity to work for the world’s
Drone warfare is here to stay and is technology continues to evolve, drones will take the place of deliveries from the United States Postal Services and FedEx deliveries; they will be used as security guards, radio stations, first aid kits, and more. Drones will continue to be used to fight terrorism overseas, furthermore, saving the lives of innocent civilians, and our service men and woman. I believe drones are our future and will continue to see drones of many sizes used for other purposes, such as to deliver medicine or an organ quickly to hospital. The possibilities for drones are endless. They can do almost anything that you could need from one, and with the technologies changing and becoming more advanced every day. I think that these changes might happen sooner rather than later. So if it's not superman or a bird in the sky; it's probably a
Drones are an emerging technology that has countless benefits and a myriad of intangible side-effects. I will clearly explain how drones effect on our lives by exploring the Social, Cultural, Political and Environmental impacts drone technology presents in our lives today.
