Think to the last time you thought something negative about someone. Was it the way they did their hair or the way they dressed? It's hard for some people to believe that this happens every day in a place people think is safe. School. Though it's considered bullying when kids do it why should adults have the right to too? Dress codes, something used to protect students also discriminates against more of them than you think. Whether it's Trans Boys not allowed to be wearing pants or Girls not allowed to be wearing Pants it's a huge issue. Gender Neutral uniforms should be a norm in society and not something that isn't thought of.

This means that nearly one third of trans students can't dress according to their recent legal gender. Less and Less people should be discriminated against but that is something we should all work on. While some people struggle with the idea many people have embraced it completely, “80 state schools, 40 of them primaries, have introduced gender-neutral uniform policies which permit both boys and girls to choose whether they want to wear trousers or skirts."(Wilde). This shows that some people are willing to change and make a difference. It shows the progress that we as a nation to a discrimination free land. Had we made this progress before we would have a much better environment; something we all need desperately.

The LGBTQ+ side of the issue isn't even the worst one. The dress codes discriminates against girls too. “The dress code makes girls feel self-conscious, ashamed, and uncomfortable in their own bodies."(McInery).
