Question: Why, and how do certain users target other people on social media? Bullying is a huge problem for teens. Today there is a new type of bullying called, cyberbullying, due to technology advancement. Social media has made bullying easier for teens. Cyberbullying has many long lasting effects. Teens’ target other teens’ today due to; abnormalities, who spends more time online, to see others miserable, causing mental trauma. Today many teens fit into a certain category, or group. Teens would like to know if the group of people that they happen to hang out with would fit into a category that society would considered “ desirable”. These groups are sorted by; Race, size, and physical appearance.

These very traumatic experiences could very much lead to mental trauma. many victims can relates to ,sticks and bones may break my bones, but words will forever hurt. Many teens who get cyberbullied will either get; depression, anxiety disorders, PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder), and/or suicidal thoughts. Some signs of these are; when; having problems at school, feeling withdrawn,doesn’t enjoy their favorite activities anymore. or wants to participate in activities or join the crowd like any other teen. Sleeping or eating problems. Reacts over the big things, or small things.loses a lot of their belongings. Shuns all of social media, that they would usually use. Hear your teen about hurting themselves,Currently doing self-harm, like cutting, or talking about suicide. Also a sudden drop of their grades. Even getting to school late with no explanation, or even refusing to attend school. If these victims don’t get help, they will have to suffer for the rest of their lives, and sometimes they would even commit suicide to end the pain, that's internally hurting them. Psychological trauma is very serious, and should be taken very seriously, and to try to find a way to stop cyberbullying for

teens target others by finding the victim's weaknesses, and using that to make them feel miserable. These very victims don’t feel like it’s okay to go to a trusted adult because they have to stand up for themselves, and how it’s part of “growing up”. why do the cyberbullies do it? simple. they do it to annoy you, plus they would most likely have problems themselves that they tend to take it out on others, without even realizing it. “Australian police are having a hard time keeping up with the highly advanced technology” (Goff).Shows that basically not only australian police, but police in general are having a hard time because everything is relatively new, and cyberbullying has just come out of the nowhere. If society won’t be able to put cyberbullying under control, then many teens will have a mental trauma of some sort, and suicide will continue to increase if this doesn’t stop.
