Dick’s Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? introduces the reader to a society in which the persons or beings present are heavily influenced by two major and alike figureheads: Wilbur Mercer and Buster Friendly; the prominent figures of society each have the apparent purpose of the unification of a society divided by the presence of androids and humans: two beings inherently different.
