Abortion, it’s a topic no one wants to talk about and obviously no one wants more abortions to happen. In some cases abortion should be legal due to health concerns as well as the living environment of the mother, and we should really focus on preventing abortions instead of banning it all together. A large amount of abortions are due to disease and complications during pregnancy and birth. Pregnant women can die during pregnancy. 12 out of every 100,000 mothers die due to complications during pregnancy, according to the World Health Organizations. It may be argued that the child’s life is more important than the mother’s, but if the mother dies while pregnant, the fetus will die within minutes. For these cases, abortion may the only way to save women’s lives and keep the unborn child from suffering with life threatening deformations and genetic disorders. …show more content…
