My understanding of “SMART Goals” is that it helps the students, teachers and parents to get to the right path about the students’ needs and education. In general it pin point how an IEP should be written and the kind of information that it should have. First having a specific goal and objectives that state details what are we going to work with the students. Second, goals and objectives are measure by teachers and parents observing or through assessment, how much improvement have the students have made since the last observation. When writing measurable goals and objectives we need to specify what we want to see happening in the students and how long is going to be measure.
