Why diesel engines are important to me and society? Diesel engines contribute to nearly every city, town, village, ect. in the USA, for the simple reason that people in the cities have no other way to get food or water, so they need semis to deliver food to grocery stores. Diesel engines are also needed for transportation or for construction, as well as just a daily driver. Maintaining your diesel is one of the most important things you can do to insure that your engine makes it to its full life expectancy. When you do maintenance on you diesel it will ensure better fuel milage as well as longer engine life. One thing that goes with maintaining your diesel is changing oil, changing your oil whenever it calls for it is ok if you go like 800 miles over any more may hurt the engine bc it will have bad oil running through the engine. …show more content…
