This is a Mexican Artwork. It is a famous fresco painting of Diego Rivera. The painting is of indigenous people who used the traditional painting and dyeing fabric. There is about eleven people and three babies in the painting. It seems like they are working hard on painting and dying clothes. There is also like the king and wife giving orders. The others are washing clothes and drying clothes. Seems like everyone has his or her own chores. No one is looking directly at the painter, except the wife. The elements of the colors he use for the painting are brown, yellow, orange, and white. It seems like he use all neutral colors better known as primary colors. They are located somewhere in the king’s house. It seems very big and also seems like is late night because the windows are dark. The time of the painting seems like is back in the Mayans or Aztecs days. There people in front that are tall and bigger and he makes the people in the back look smaller, but is just the perspective view. The focal point seems like is the Queen because she is the only one looking straight at the painter and the rest of the people in the painting are working on something, so it balances the painting, too. The artwork is a famous Renaissance fresco painting. Diego Rivera did it in 1950. Diego Rivera is a famous painter and muralist. He had some success as Cubist painter in Europe. He is from Guanajuato, Mexico. He wanted to make art reflect in lives of the working class and native people of Mexico. He married another artist famous Frida Kahlo who shared an interest in radical politics and Marxism. He died on November 24, 1957 of heart failure in Mexico City.
