Recommended: The start of the haitian revolution

When we look by at Haiti history we see some great leaders that fought for the rights and freedom of the people and we see those we fought to enslave the free people of Haiti. President Jean Pierre Boyer was a man who believed in control, control of the people, the politics and the land. His political leadership stance was less democracy and more dictatorship. Boyer lack of leadership lead him to support the France and agree to the destructive of Haiti future.

I did not believe President Boyer should had agreed to France terms. First for years Haiti was free, independent and had control on the sea trade. After the revolution many former slave fought to remain free and to be control under a foreign ruler. Boyer who didn’t believe in his people

This new position gave him the opportunity to be part of the overthrowing of Horatio Vasquez. Trujillo was sworn into presidency on August 16, 1930. Marking the beginning of what is known as the cruel, violent and controversial part of history in the Dominican Republic.
