There are hundreds of dog breeds in the world. Gun dogs, sight hounds, terriers, toys, utility dogs, and working dogs are the six basic categories of dogs. But, you can also combine two or more breeds of dogs to make a whole new dog breed. Nowadays, you have all sorts of new types of dogs, such as golden doodles, cockapoos, and even daisy dogs, which have resulted from crossbreeding.

Hybrid dogs became popular mostly in the last century, when breeders began experimenting with cross breeding different breeds. The term hybrid means something that is made by combining two different elements. In this case, hybrid dogs are made by taking the good characteristics of different breeds and combining them to make one cross breed that includes traits from both parents. People have since started calling these dogs “designer dogs”. A designer dog is defined as a cross between two purebred dogs. Being a purebred dog means that each puppy born has the same characteristics as one another. The difference between designer dogs and mutts is that a designer dog has a documented history, and a mutt’s ancestry is unknown.

Poodles are a very interesting breed, because they can be bred with almost any other breed. The original use of poodles was water retrieving and being a household companion. Now they are used mostly as a companion, and they are bred with many other breeds to make new designer breeds.

One of the most common and recognizable designer dogs is the labradoodle, which is a hybrid of a labrador retriever and a poodle. It looks mostly like a labrador retriever, but also has the characteristics of a poodle, in that it doesn’t shed much and has short, curly hair.

Just like humans, dogs can get cancer. They can have bone cancer, lung cancer, skin cancer, and even stomach cancer. Health problems in dogs are just as sever as they are in humans.

Designer dogs are a special group of mixed breed dogs. They aren’t mutts, but they aren’t purebred. Often, they will have a loveable nature. The characteristics of the poodle can be manipulated so that the new dog won’t shed much and will be hypoallergenic. Health issues are hereditary though. Owners should watch out for canine hip displasia, arthritis, and cataracts. There are over 80 types of designer dogs, ranging from the pom-chi to the saint berdoodle. Designer dogs are unlike any other breed there is.
