The first aspect of an expression that results as big part of someone’s personality is how they smile and how often they do. One can tell how the person’s attitude is by seeing if they smile often or they do not smile at all. Now exactly what does it take to obtain a perfect healthy smile? This is how dental hygienist changed the way of society viewed teeth.
Maybe back then when cavemen and cavewomen existed, they would not use a tooth brush, who knows. However according to a source of Colgate Oral Care Center, the history of a toothbrush was dated back to 3500-3000 BC. The Babylonians and the Egyptians mad a brush by fraying the end of a twig they would find. In ancient Egypt tombs were found to been containing tooth sticks alongside their owners. Around 1600BC, the Chinese developed "chewing sticks" which were made from aromatic tree twigs to freshen breath. It was made from the bristles from the pig’s neck, that was attached to a bone or bamboo handle, isn’t that amazing? The first toothbrush of a modern design was created by a man from England, William Addis. His idea conveyed of a handle that was carved from cattle bone and the brush portion was made from swine bristles. Throughout the years, the bristle became softer to adapt to people’s teeth. Good thing they switched the bristles to help people brush their teeth, no one wants to have a hard toothbrush. Now in the Twentieth Century everyone around the world owns a tooth brush in their home.
