Faith. Some people may argue what the definition of faith is. However, in my eyes, in my perspective, Faith is believing in something way bigger than myself. Faith is putting my life and complete trust in the hands of God. Faith is what has gotten me this far in life. I had a rough upbringing growing up in the streets of Brooklyn, New York. I know what it is like to have no food, no clothes, and no money. I know what it is like to look at a single mother trying to raise her three daughters and son and feel helpless. Yes, I agree having a rough upbringing is no excuse, however having a rough upbringing has taught me the valuable lesson of faith. It has taught me to appreciate what I have and know that God has everything planned out. I turned to personal fitness and training at a very young age. It has kept me off the …show more content…

I think of fitness as a way to protect the temples that God has blessed us with. It is one of the reasons why I am determined to help people do just that. Even now being part of a Special Operations Recon team for The United States Army, I help my peers excel in fitness. I have received awards and accommodations for many physical fitness achievements as well as leadership role in the army as a team leader. I recently had a soldier in my platoon who could not pass a physical fitness test, and was flagged to be chaptered out the army. He came to me bearing tears asking me to train and manage his daily routine. I agreed and within two weeks I helped him pass two physical fitness test with the highest scores he's ever gotten and he moved on to get promoted and his flag being lifted. He had faith in me, and I taught him to have faith in himself. All these events have brought me here, wanting to attend The Colorado Christian University for Health Care Management. Having already obtained my personal training license, I've turned to CCU to achieve my goal of receiving a Bachelor's degree in Heath Care
