The word hero has many different meanings and can be found in every culture around the world. Nowadays, hero’s have been made out to be something super when all they are ordinary people. Hero, as a word, has a dictionary definition like all words, however the true definition of the word has to come to each and every person around the world. Everyone is different so logically that should mean different people develop their own definitions for some words, such as hero. While a hero may be known today as someone with super-powers to a small child, that does not mean that is the deffinition for everyone else. Role models and heroes do share some similar characteristics, such as being brave or strong, but there are also some differences. A hero is someone that you honor while a role model is someone you strive to become. Role models are important for everyone because they can and will help define who someone will become. A role model does not have a set characteristic list because each person has to find what they like about that role model. When I think of a role model I think of a celebrity named Danny Worsnop. Worsnop is a musician who is originally from Britain and moved to the United States to become a big super star. While he was on the way to become famous he went through a rough time, living homeless with the rest of the band. After Worsnop and the band started to get popular, they started to get involved with drugs. The drugs took Worsnop to a dark place and he became someone he did not like; it took Worsnop years to become clean but in the end succeeded and wrote one of the best albums the band has to offer. The reason Danny Worsnop is my personal role model is because of the carouge he had to not only talk about his drug problem, he also had meaning behind his lyrics. Someone does not have to be a celebrity to be a role model, they could be anyone. When I first moved to Idaho I did not know anyone, my grandmother was in the same boat as me. She did not give up and quit like a lot of people would have. She was here to work and help my grandfather with household chores. During the time I lived with my grandparents I noticed how giving and nice my grandmother is, constantly providing insight on situations and trying to keep emotions in check. These little characteristics I have noticed have helped me find out who I look up to, or rather my role
