As beauty is highly personal to perceive, everyone should ask her/him-self a question: ”what does beauty mean to me?”. It is crutial to have this question answered, as nothing can be fully admired when the process of admiration is in any way forced. That is why I try to see beatuy in nearly anything that surround me, but when it is had for me to do it, I do not put any pressure in this. In my opinion, these days we have even greater problem with distinguishing beauty from a feeble attempt. This problem is not that visible in natural beauty - we usually consider it from objective poit of view. However, the dilemma occurs regularly in art. Walking around modern art gallery we often have doubts wether we are able to call those things ”art” - but there is no simple remedy for this. Equally to the term of beauty, art is as well strongly subjective and personal. Again, we need to ask ourselves ”do I find it as a work of real art?” and once more we have to be sincere with our feelings evoked by the ”art”. It is significant in our lives to be sensitized to the surrounding world. It gives the fellings of not being cut off from the world and even being engaged in all ongoing processes. Simultaneously, valueing beauty makes us sensitive to all kinds of emotinons - we are able to see ugliness, anxiety, joy, disgust, compassion and many more. However, it is even more important not to be ignorant to any kind of mediocrity.
