What is Honesty? Honesty is viewed in many different ways and for myself and everyone else; honesty is the biggest thing that will get one through life. People view people different if they lie, cheat, or even steal things but if you’re honest with everyone they will forgive you instead of lying and having to lie to back up your first lie. Just being honest should be everyone’s goal in life. It speaks to ones character to stand up and take ownership of the truth. It's easy to remember the truth; it comes back to us crystal clear. Those willing to stand up and accept the truth never have any guilt weigh upon them. Trust is built on honesty and once broken it is hard if impossible to repair it. I learned at a very young age that honesty in anything you do will let you succeed at anything farther in life. Not all people are honest in life and those are the type of people who you learn never to trust and learn to dislike because being honest is the best policy. Honesty was taught to me at a very young age in the game of golf. Golf is played alone; nobody controls or influences what you do on the course. There are rules that you are expected to follow. When I turn my scorecard in every time I am completely and always honest with the score I have gotten. Being honest in anything you do teaches you to accept anything you do and accept the consequences. People look at you differently if you’re honest.
