The DEA’s enforcement of regulatory policies against the Drug Industry and the deregulation in the story is a great example of an Iron Triangle relationship. The issue begins with the DEA’s chief of enforcing regulation policies, Mr. Joseph Rannazzisi. Mr. Rannazzisi was aggressively enforcing regulatory laws against the Drug Industry. The Drug Industry felt that the law was too vague and lacked a burden of proof. The law allowed the DEA to shutdown/fine any pharmaceutical company if it was caught supplying too many opioids into the public. Over the years, the Drug Industry recruited many of the members who once worked for the DEA and Justice Department. At least 56 people from these agencies shifted into the Drug Industry much like the

The CIA wanted to use drug trafficking because there was good money in the process, and put an end to it at the same time, when there was lots of cash, the story turned around, the CIA tried to keep it a secret and that it would be a good idea, well they were wrong, the whole conspiracy was dead, the CIA wanted currency by selling drugs, it was an easy way to make some dirty cash, they knew it was a bad decision, this theory that they had done, karma came back and got the CIA, this conspiracy ended up taking lives away from families, the CIA had others distress because there plans weren’t all that.
On our planet, phenomena’s occur occasionally in nature. Tornadoes, earthquakes, and flashfloods are all types of phenomena’s that could occur. Most of these mysterious events are small and go unnoticed; however, on a rare occasion these sorts of event can be horrendous. One such occasion occurred back around 4,000 BC (Werner Keller, 48). As the story goes, God’s population was growing rapidly on earth. At this point, he had been growing bored with the same people on earth so he made sure no man would live past the age of 120. Given this time, the people of earth started to take advantage of the human race; these acts of selfishness disgusted God. He decided to destroy everything on earth. A man by the name of Noah had lived his life by God’s nature, which eventually led to a close relationship between the two. God had told Noah to build a boat with exact measurements. God had instructed Noah to put two of every kind of animal into the boat; one had to be male and the other female. Then God told Noah to get into the boat with his family, their families, and the animals. Then for forty days and forty nights the clouds seemed to have poured endless amounts of water onto the earth (Genesis 6:1-9). Floods rushed through the landscape, destroying everything in its path. The waters were higher than the tallest mountains, standing above the highest peaks. All living things on earth had died. The water covered the earth at this level for five months (Paul S. Taylor, 1). In time the water began to dry up. Eventually Noah was able to leave the ship and release all he had brought with him. From this point, evolution occurs.
America's War on Drugs: Policy and Problems. In this paper I will evaluate America's War on Drugs. More specifically, I will outline our nation's general drug history and look critically at how Congress has influenced our current ineffective drug policy. Through this analysis, I hope to show that drug prohibition policies in the United States, for the most part, have failed.
The “War on Cocaine” has been trying to fight a battle on two fronts. The first objective of the American government is to deter the consumer from using illegal products. The genesis of punishment against users is sited in the 1914 Harrison Act, in which addicts and others that possessed drugs were punished for buying or possessing cocaine or heroin without a prescription (Bertram, 26). This act began a trend that still today allows law enforcement to arrest the user along with the supplier. The supplier (drug trafficker) is the key in this type of police action, because most of the time the user will be unaware of the exact origin of the substance or have any knowledge as to where it was purchased or manufactured. The main problem with this type of arrest is that 70 to 75 percent of the narcotic arrests per year are for possession and only 25 to 30 percent are for actual drug trafficking offenses. Although the user should not be overlooked, a greater emphasis ought to be focused on the supplier in order to reach the actual manufacturer of the illegal substances.

Illicit drug use and the debate surrounding the various legal options available to the government in an effort to curtail it is nothing new to America. Since the enactment of the Harrison Narcotic Act in 1914 (Erowid) the public has struggled with how to effectively deal with this phenomena, from catching individual users to deciding what to do with those who are convicted (DEA). Complicating the issue further is the ever-expanding list of substances available for abuse. Some are concocted in basements or bathtubs by drug addicts themselves, some in the labs of multinational pharmaceutical companies, and still others are just old compounds waiting for society to discover them.
“[The war on drugs] has created a multibillion-dollar black market, enriched organized crime groups and promoted the corruption of government officials throughout the world,” noted Eric Schlosser in his essay, “A People’s Democratic Platform”, which presents a case for decriminalizing controlled substances. Government policies regarding drugs are more focused towards illegalization rather than revitalization. Schlosser identifies a few of the crippling side effects of the current drug policy put in place by the Richard Nixon administration in the 1970s to prohibit drug use and the violence and destruction that ensue from it (Schlosser 3). Ironically, not only is drug use as prevalent as ever, drug-related crime has also become a staple of our society. In fact, the policy of the criminalization of drugs has fostered a steady increase in crime over the past several decades. This research will aim to critically analyze the impact of government statutes regarding drugs on the society as a whole.

I agree that the DEA is needed and important they are a highly motivated well developed task force to prevent drugs and stop all drug trafficking in our country. The Drug Enforcement Administration was a well thought out and a great team between there training and readiness for the work force they never know what will happen at work its a extremely dangerous job to have but with there training they can do anything to protect the people from the war on drugs.

In attempt to cease the drug abuse in the workplace, the government enacted the Dug-Free Workplace Act of 1988 (DFWA) which mandated some Federal contractors and all Federal grantees to agree in providing a drug free workplace in order to receive any types of contracts or grants from a Federal Agency. The DFWA applies and directly affects any organization and federal contractors who are awarded a contract by any federal agency. Any organization or company in agreement with the DFWA is required to run a drug free workplace before obtaining any contract, post antidrug use policies and provide training to its employees, and must go through a drug free certification process in order to receive the grants (Jeanty, n.d.).
