1. Muhammad Ali was a man in great need around the beginning of the 1800’s, in time of great need when the French were evacuating Egypt. Muhammad Ali stood up and brought a sinking empire out from the dirt, he was determined to create an empire that was superior to all others. To do this, he knew there was significant changes to be made. One of these changes was, “the Mamluks from re-establishing their corrupt tax-farming system”.
