When managers seek to improve their sport organization often times they refer to SWOT. SWOT is an acronym which stands for strength, weakness, opportunity, and threat. These four areas are tools used to address and fix any issue that an organization may have internally or externally. The Dallas Cowboys are an NFL team that uses these four categories to address any issues they may have in order to improve any imperfections for the betterment of their Franchise.
The Cowboys have a very strong impact in the community making sure to give back, specifically with Salvation Army. Sports marketing and promotion is vital which the current general manager, Jerry Jones has executed very successfully along with the development of AT&T. Jones is the current owner, president, and general manager of the Cowboys having a significant effect on the NFL team bringing record breaking results and success to this organization. Jones was only being only one of three current general managers to ever lead his team to three Super Bowl Titles. His example of leaderships is one of the most important reasons for the recent success of the Dallas Cowboys. Including all the revenue brought in by the games such as tickets, tailgating, etc, there is much more sustenance that goes along with managing an organization in the NFL. The Dallas Cowboys sponsors include the following, XXXX, The Ville Townsville, ISC Sports, Coca-Cola amatil, LGIAsuper, Trukai industries, BMD (Telstra Media). These sponsors allow the Cowboys to reach beyond their range and promote their franchise to the best of their ability. SWOT is a influential tool which allows organizations such as the Dallas Cowboys to make improvements in areas that may not have been seen otherwise for the benefit of their franchise.
