In the book Animal Farm, Czar Nicholas is related to the character Mr. Jones. Mr. Jones is the owner of the farm before he was overthrown by the animals. In the beginning of the novel Old Major delivers a speech about how the animals are oppressed. Mr. Jones Czar Nicholas People might know Czar Nicholas as the last emperor of Russia. He was born near St. Petersburg in May of 1868, the eldest son of Tsar Alexander III. He married Princess Alexandra of Hesse- Darmstadt (a duchy in Germany). He and his wife had four daughters and one son together. They were all executed by the Bolsheviks in 1918. When The Revolution of 1905 broke out, Nicholas was confused. He believed strongly that he had a God-given right to rule Russia
