POLLUTION OF CYPRUS MINE CORPORATION
Introduction
In today’s world, the main environmental problem is probably the “pollution”. Air, water and land pollutions are all threats for people, and actually for all living species. World has been suffering from global warming, ozone depletion, climate change, pollution of drinking water and etc. These all are caused by pollutants which are spread into air or water or soil by anthropogenic activities. People use the natural sources of environment to produce energy, and actually they use those sources selfishly, without thinking about future generations. One of the main causes for these pollutions is population. When population starts to increase, our environment is being suffered from increasing amount of pollution. People start to build new factories, houses and etc. for living in better conditions by using the sources of nature. Of course there are consequences of these new buildings. Deforestation, increasing amount of cars, increasing amount of using fertilizers to produce more food in short term, huge amount of wastes from factories and industries are just a few examples of the results of increasing population. Waste control is one of the most important consequences, it is not the only thing but really important for sure. When production is increasing in a factory for example, there are also increasing amount of waste, and when this waste is not controlled it all goes into environment by polluting water, air or soil; or all three of them. As a result of this all people in the whole world are affected by this situation. Waste control should be done to prevent this situation to occur by using waste to produce energy maybe, or by using filters. Unfortunately, even now the waste control ...

Objectives • To evaluate the difficulty of mining and reclamation To calculate costs, expenses, income, and profit from a hands-on mining exercise. • To evaluate the effectiveness of reclamation and its added costs to mining. To describe the increasing rarity of some non-renewable mineral resources. Introduction Minerals play an important role in our day-to-day life, but we often do not contemplate how the minerals are obtained. Minerals are scattered all over the world, just like any other resource.

Land pollution has been largely affected by nuclear waste and solid waste. Nuclear weapon contains massive amounts of radioactive chemicals that pose serious health issues to society. Solid waste continues to grow because more garbage is being piled up than recycling. Water pollution has been evident to causing health issues such as cancer, heart disease, or respiratory problems. Water is being polluted due to plastic waste, pesticides, acid rail, number of oil spill accidents, and many other waste dumped into the water. Some of solutions consist of polices from government, international cooperation, plan of green energy, and coming up with a plan to educate the people of environmental problems. Environmental activist has been active in putting pressure into government and private industries on protecting their environment. International cooperation from 160 nations also came to an agreement to limit greenhouse gas emissions. Going green is also has been a plan implemented in order to reduce environmental problems which is called green
It is crucial to control pollution because the nature , wildlife and human life those are precious gifts to the mankind , So we have to protect them and keep them safe no matter what cost is it . Every step we take to keep our earth safe from all kind of pollution is going to help us in being protected from disasters in future ; how ever everything comes with its pros and cons we just have to use the pros and avoid the cons.
...huge global problem, caused by human waste, but which can be solved by going green and reducing human impact on the environment.
Pollution is affecting many individuals and life, as we know it. We need to do something about how it’s affecting our world. That’s why I urge the issue that more people should realize that pollution is an issue that needs to be prevented because of its negative consequences. Which are health affects, the total destruction of environments, and the death of animals and plants. More awareness must be brought up amongst the people and they must realize the long-term benefits it has for the world.
Every day when looking out a window, people see a beautiful earth. The earth is intriguing, but hinges on a delicate balance. Many natural resources keep the grass green and the sky blue. Man has made quite an impression on our world, and has transformed the earth's resources into tools to make life easy. However, mans' manipulation on earth has become detrimental to the health of our planet and the safety of mankind. Through the use and production of resources such as oil and energy, man is gradually poisoning the earth. Pollution has become such a dilemma in society; there is no real control or a feasible solution to society's recklessness. Without complete change, our system will collapse. The earth will eventually retaliate with disaster, or corporate control of our economy will cause hysteria and depression. Evaluation of the consequences and repercussion of worldwide pollution, may give people a better idea of what the future holds.
Jacques-Yves Cousteau once said, “Overconsumption and overpopulation underlie every environmental problem we face today” (“Population,” Internet). With the current statistics, Jacques could not be more accurate. Every second, 4.2 people are born and 1.8 people die, which would be a net gain of 2.4 people per second (“Population,” Internet). At this steady rate, the environmental health is spiraling downwards, and it is safe to assume humans are responsible for this. As the population increases, harmful effects on the land, water, and air also do.
Mining is the process or industry of obtaining minerals from the earth. Topics in this paper I’ll be specifically discussing are pros and cons of mining, structures of a mine, mining in general, California gold rush, diamonds in Africa, and comparison of diamond and gold mines.
The indirect impact of the mining industry has been huge in terms of funding for things like skill development through education and training, there is also provision made for social services in the mines (e.g. health care for the employees of the mines and their families, housing, school etc.) and the contribution the national economy.
There are various systems in handling population rates and its various issues that connect with threatening our environment. The population and environment debate will forever be a back and forth problem because there is possibly no way to completely stop carbon emissions but ease its production. To help the environment, we must incorporate all potential solutions in governing population such as family planning and governmental involvement and practice renewable resources and stop on using nonrenewable resources, as well as ways to tackle overconsumption to support our corrupting environment.

Pollution disrupts the normal properties that an ecosystem has. Himalayan glacier drip is becoming less and less every year. This is the water that supplies the majority of the world. If this trend continues we can expect wars fought over the remaining drinkable water. Also the pollution that mankind craps out traps the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and heats the planet. The irregular temperature interferes with natural resources and lends itself to wars and poverty which are in direct relation to higher birth rates. Those new people will have to eat and the effort to feed them will harm the environment even more. Unless we change our polluting ways we can look forward to this snowball
The environment today is not in a good condition, Climate change is evident, and oceans are getting polluted. Rainforrest's are decreasing in size due to deforestation and illegal logging. Animals are getting extinct due to the destruction of their habitats. Natural resources are being consumed at very large amounts, and get wasted. There are different ways these problems can be addressed, one option is environmental management. Environmental management focuses on conservation of natural resources, protection of habitats, and impact of humans on the environment. Conservation of natural resources is the smart use of the world's resources by humans, through this waste production is limited, and there will be less garbage in the world. By conserving
The environment around us gives us the habitat to live, is a condition for our existence and development so that protecting environment which is one of today’s most serious issues means protecting our lives. But almost every day we hear a new problem badly affecting the environment. The list of the new difficulties seems to be endless. We are all aware of these concerns and can admit that we caused them. Now, environmental protection is not the work of a single individual as it is the responsibility of the whole community, of every single person exists on this planet. The measures range from each citizen to the government.
