Cruel Intentions
The film 'cruel Intentions', directed by John Hughes is a fast paced
glimpse into the lives of the young new Yorkers whose entire existence
revolves around power, sex and to some extent class A drugs. Hughes
direction for the movie concentrates on those who prey on innocence
and will stop at nothing to achieve their ambitions.
The story focuses on Sebastian whose main intention in life is to
sleep with and ruin the reputations of girls whom he labels
"Manhattans insipid debutants". Using his charisma, charm and vast
wealth he manipulates whichever woman he wants as easily as a 12 year
old manipulates Tetris pieces on his game boy. Sebastian's raw good
looks and style captures every room he enters not to mention the fact
that he has no problem whatsoever wearing the threads of high quality
Armarini outfits with such class prince William could take notes. Also
his car gives a very high-class impression of him, as it is not common
for someone who is still in high school to have such a rare,
collectable and expensive car. How ever Sebastian holds a burning
flame for his cunning stepsister Katherine, played by Sarah Michelle
Gellar. She is well aware of this lust that Sebastian has for her and
uses it to bate him into doing what ever she wants him to do.
Gellar also plays her part to near perfection she plays a manipulative
and seducing role, her performance totally make you forget that she is
the nations favourite vampire slayer. She brings Katherine to life
emphasizing her snobby accent and supposed kindness, when all the time
she is secretly snorting Cocaine from her deceptive rosary that she
wears around her ...

... way through and just as he has fallen in love and lost the
invisibility he had earlier, he dies. The movie then finishes on a
much happier note as every one finds out what Kathryn is really like
at Sebastian's funeral when his diary with all his plans, thoughts and
schemes in is handed out just as Kathryn is making her speech. Which,
yet again, is full of lies.
Aside from a slightly happified ending, Cruel Intentions is an
impressive movie. Solid dialogue, luscious characters that play their
roles to a tee (perhaps with the exception of Witherspooon), great
comic relief. I would recommend this movie for all those who have
strong hearts or like to see a complex love story as it has all of the
plotting and manipulation you could ask for but also in the end it has
what turns out to be a heartbreaking love line.
The plot of the movie “Blade Runner” becomes unrevealed till the end of the movie. Many assumptions about the plot and the final of the movie appear in the spectator’s mind, but not one of these assumptions lasts long. Numerous deceptions in the plot grip the interest of the audience and contribute for the continuing interest to the movie eighteen years after its creation. The main character in the movie is Deckard- the Blade Runner. He is called for a special mission after his retirement, to “air up” four replicants who have shown flaws and have killed people. There are many arguments and deceptions in the plot that reveal the possibility Deckard to be a replicant. Roy is the other leading character of the movie. He appears to be the leader of the replicants- the strongest and the smartest. Roy kills his creator Tyrell. The effect of his actions fulfils the expectation of the spectator for a ruthless machine.
‘The Outsiders’ is written by S.E. Hinton. It is set in the 1960s in a

This means that there are common patterns that can be found in many hero stories. Time after time, people have read about heroes leaving the ordinary world to complete the quest that will change mankind and better the hero. While many tasks and challenges may lie in the hero’s way they always return victorious. The Hero serves a dual purpose. Heroes are smart, brave and resilient. They show the world what is possible through hard work and perseverance. Heroes also reflect the fears and limitations that people are faced with. As writers and producers saw the amazing popularity and success of the movie Scream many other copy cat versions were made. Movies such as I Know What You Did Last Summer and Urban Legend all followed the same teen slasher format. Nothing is being left up to the movie viewer’s imagination anymore. Everything for the past thirty years was spelled out and given to the viewer, leaving the identity of the killer as the only form of mystery. The genre of horror was losing a very important battle. The bone-chilling movies of the past were giving way to the comedic teen movies of the present.
This book showed the struggle between rich and poor. The two main groups of the story were the Socs and the greasers. The Socs are in the upper class while the greasers are the poor ones that dislike the Socs because they have more money, better cars, and act like they are better than the greasers. The Outsiders is a good story by S.E. Hinton that shows the struggles of growing up Hinton did a fine job with the character development, the plot, and the theme with a few flaws.

Pathos is an appeal to emotion, and is a way of convincing an audience of an argument by creating an emotional response. Telos is the end of a goal-oriented process, also an ultimate object or aim. Kairos is the opportune time and/or place, the right or appropriate time to say or do the right or appropriate thing.
The Shining is about a white middle class dysfunctional family that suffers from natural and supernatural stresses in an isolated Rocky mountain hotel. .The father, a former teacher turned writer, is portrayed as a habitual drinker, wife- and child-abuser, with a kind of evil streak The mother is shown as a battered woman. The film suggests that due to the abuse at the hands of his father and the passivity of his mother, the child of this family developed psychological problems. He had imaginary friends and began to see frightening images.
The Outsiders is a book about Greasers And Socs. The Greasers are the poor east side kids they would wear their hair long and greasy and they will dress in blue jeans, T-shirts, or wear they shirttails out and wear a leather jacket and tennis shoes or boots. The Socs are the rich west side kids that worn nice clothes, drove nice cars, and had all the pretty lady’s. They both was gangs in Oklahoma. The Socs they would jump Greasers, wreck houses, and throw beer blasts for kicks.
The Fight Club, directed by David Fincher, constructs an underground world of men fighting with one and other to find the meaning to their lives. Ed Norton and Brad Pitt are the main characters who start the fight club. They make a set of rules in which everyone must follow.
Juror #1 originally thought that the boy was guilty. He was convinced that the evidence was concrete enough to convict the boy. He continued to think this until the jury voted the first time and saw that one of the jurors thought that the boy was innocent. Then throughout the movie, all of the jurors were slowly convinced that the boy was no guilty.
The Outsiders was written by Susan Eloise Hinton. It is one of her most popular books about foolish gang rivalry existing between the Socs, the rich kids from the west side of town, and the Greasers, the poor kids from the east side.
The movie, Precious (Daniels, et al., 2009), named after its protagonist, tells a story of injustice, abuse, and ultimately resilience. Precious was sexually abused by her father, physically and emotionally abused by her mother, and suffered neglect by both parents (Daniels, et al, 2009). She had two children by her father, one of whom was diagnosed with Down Syndrome (Daniels, et al., 2009). She wasn’t encouraged to be successful in school, but Precious found a way to motivate herself despite this.
Minority Report is a 2002 science fiction film directed by renowned director Steven Spielberg and is set in the year 2054 in Washington, D. C. The film revolves around an elite law enforcing squad; Precrime. The Precrime Division uses three genetically altered humans called Pre-Cogs whom possesses special powers to see into the future and predict crimes beforehand. After each crime is foreseen and analyzed, Precrime police officers are sent to the crime location to apprehend the future murderers and place them under arrest. The future murderers are then put into a sleep state with a device called a "halo". Based on Minority Report, it suggests that humans are free willed beings and have the ability to alter the future that was predetermined for them.
A Beautiful Mind may have been developed to be a crowd-pleaser as well as a tear-jerker, because you know this is a man’s life without falsities. It is blatant and true, that’s all. This film proves that there are still instances when Hollywood-produced, big budget movies are worth a viewer's investment of time and money.
