Let’s not be blinded by the fact that The Prince book who he dedicated to the Medici somewhat illustrates as a mob to unseat the family for whom he believe and labeled as “master of political deception.” Well, this insight cannot be taken against me since we differ in giving critics based on what we see and understand about Machiavelli’s book. For a guy like Machiavelli, who is very complicated, the way he view things, you cannot just pin point what exactly he is trying to portray, that made us also confused on what really is his intention. On the other side, Machiavelli is indeed wise enough to come up with this kind of book, I can say that I may misunderstood his actions and all, but going back to his objective which is the reunification of Italy and get rid of the Papacy, and get back with republican government, it is truly enough to say that every philosopher’s behaviour is dependent on the time and kind of government they are born into. One thing to consider is that Machiavelli eagerness to abolish church as he pertains that is one reason that hinders in the reunification of Italy.
