Veterans that are homeless should be housed. This is important because more and more people are signing up to join the army. The more people that sign up means, there will be more veterans that are homeless. The more homeless people that roam the streets means bad neighborhoods and even worse schools. More effort should be directed to help homeless veterans to get their lives back.

Many soldiers are on the verge of homelessness at some point in their life. There are more than 150,000 veterans that are homeless every day and more joining them. Homeless veterans are serious problem. They deserve better for serving their time and risking their lives for our country. 150,000 of the homeless are veterans this proves that there are a vast amount of homeless. Not only does that prove that veterans make up a huge percentage of the homeless but also does this. The author is important because he gives the ratio of homeless veterans with data. I can only stress the importance of this topic so much. I can keep going on about how important it is to do something, but that won’t get us the change we need. We need society, the government, and especially the Department of Veteran affairs to work together. This will be an issue that will be going and going for years to come. But I do believe that there is something that can be done to improve this issue.

The facts are that there are millions of homeless people in America today. Many of these people had no choice but to become homeless. If the homeless do not have a function in society they cannot compete for the resources available, but if we give them back their purpose they will have an equal opportunity to the resources they are due. The homeless- and most people in poverty- are in an endless circle of disadvantage, since there are no jobs available they cannot establish a place of residence and with no place of residence they cannot get a job or show previous work experience.
