Intro: A Crisis Management Plan is an effective must needed plan that needs to be assessable in all schools including private and Christian. Schools and other organizations without such plan can elicit panic responses that may cause people to react ineffectively in an event of a crisis (2012). A Crisis Management Plan is a straightforward guiding plan that provides a response system to any major crisis and or emergency that occurs on campus. In some school districts, a Crisis Management Plan is not only sufficient for an on campus emergency occurrence, but also for any off-campus crisis as well. All community members, and school faculty members designated to carry out detailed responsibilities are expected to know and understand the policies and procedures outlined in such plan. The Crisis Management Plan’s nature is to respond to any major crisis within the framework being implemented through the use of such plan. In schools such as The Fairfax Public County, the executive council must approve exceptions and or changes to the outlined procedures pertaining to the plan. Effective planning, cohesive collaboration, community teamwork and practice are all great essential elements to an effective crisis management plan.
Strengths:
The Fairfax Public County Public schools Crisis Management Workbook documentation has many strengths. First and foremost, it is a detailed documentation, which explains the plan in a thorough way, giving readers an insight on what the plan has to offer. The Fairfax county school’s document describes each person’s role giving a detailed outline of the steps needed to be taken during an emergency crisis. Many schools such as Duluth High School does not provide such vivid details on such plans. I
