Arlethea reported Mr. Edmonds is requesting assistance with his opiate abuse. Dispatcher contacted Qualified Professional (QP) to respond to 4615 Siler City Snow Camp Rd. Siler City, NC 27344. QP spoke with Bill Cook from Carinal Innovations to schedule estimated time of arrival of 4:00pm, which QP arrived at 4:10pm due to traffic. QP contacted Cardinal innovations upon arrival and MCM dispatcher.
On 12/30/2015, at about 10am CM received a telephone call from Ms. Ayala/Care Coordinator at Edwin Gould to say client weekly visitation with her son it suspends until 1/20/2016, due to the client attacking the foster mother. CM inquires for the client to report her side of the story. “As per the client she stated on the day of the incident she was examining her son and she noticed that her son was wearing soiled clothes and he had scratches on his head, forehead and arms. Just like Christ Hospital, Bayonne Medical Center is an acute-care facility with 278-bed capacity and is known for its cardiovascular services, whereas Hoboken University Medical Center is a general medical and surgical hospital with 364 beds known for its maternity services. All three were acquired by the Care Point Health in the period of five years and have transformed themselves from being market-place competitors to members of the same organization. This has significantly affected their operational strength, and in particular crisis management planning. The consumer present with flat affect, disorganized thought, aggressive behavior, impaired judgment, impulsive, aggressive behavior, lack of insight into the need for treatment and he is preoccupied with hell.
Good teamwork is important in a patient centred care. It is a team of health professionals who actively participate, cooperate, interact, communicate expertise, respect, trust and its main focus is to improve patient’s health (Miller, 2008, p.14). Also, the team includes the family of the client and the patient itself (Miller, 2008, p. 15). Therefore, all members have a role to play. For instance, in the nursing practice it involves health promotion and maintenance regarding patient’s health in order to decrease the impacts of negative outcomes (NMBA, 2010). Nevertheless, this can be maintained under the national competency standard (NMBA, 2010). Part of the national competency standard promotes professional responsibility, multidisciplinary approach, critical thinking and client care delivery (NMBA, 2010).
The critical incident that I will be explaining about is regarding an eight-year-old girl currently a student at Victory Independent School District (VISD). This student wrote on her class journal that her uncle was touching her in her private parts when no one was watching. The teacher was so confused to what to do when he read Bianca’s journal, especially because he was wondering if it was appropriate for him to ask her questions about it. The teacher was concern that due to being a male that the student was going to feel uncomfortable if he were to ask her about what she had wrote in her journal. The teacher did know what to do and he was so confused because he was reading and grading the journals at home during the weekend. He continued reading Bianca’s journal and feeling more worried about his student's well being at home.
The aim of this assignment will be to provide an overview of the civil unrest which took place in the city of Los Angeles, California, USA from April 29 to May 2, 1992. In examining this incident I will endeavor to explain how and why it happened, who and what was affected and what the long term planning implications are for an event such as this. In order to do this I will present an overview of the four days of violence that gripped Los Angeles and investigate some of the root causes of the uprising. Finally, I will present my theories of how better or different prevention, preparedness, response and recovery could have minimized the effects of the incident.
I believe that if you asked a group of people to list off issues regarding an emergency department then they would say long wait times throughout the process and being moved around to different areas of the emergency department. From what I have heard the long waits can be associated with waiting to get back to a room, waiting to see a nurse, waiting to see a doctor, waiting to go to radiology or lab, waiting on results, waiting to be discharged, or waiting to be admitted. All of these things in my opinion add up to one main problem, which is patient flow through an emergency department. In my opinion being able to have a controlled patient flow allows for improved wait times and decreased chaos for patients. So there are a few things
Everyday risks present themselves in various workplaces through a variety of situations. Risk managers have been set in place to establish rules and guidelines by which employees are to follow. Any risk manager would agree that programs are set into place to reduce exposure risks, and provide a safe working environment. The elimination of undesirable outcomes in an emergency setting is critical and should not be taken lightly. Medical facility holds the key to important protocols and needs to work closely with risk management in order to instill cooperation.

My colleague and I received an emergency call at 03.40hrs to reports of a two-vehicle road traffic collision. Once on the scene it was confirmed as a high-speed collision. I was given a brief handover from the lead paramedic who was dealing with a patient that had sustained serious deceleration injuries due to the mechanisms involved. The paramedic stated,” the patient is mechanically trapped we have to wait for the fire service to cut him free”. Our priority at this stage was to prevent further deterioration of the patient and to promote his recovery by means of reassurance, pain relief in addition to treating the various injuries that he had sustained. I calculated the fire brigade would be with us very shortly, due to the fact the occupants of the other car involved were being extricated and loaded into awaiting ambulances by members of The Hazardous Area Response Team (HART). I decided that this would be an appropriate time to lead a discussion within the group on how the extraction would take place.
