“Let’s go for a jog!” I said in excitement.
“Don’t fall behind because I had gym today, so my feet are screaming to run again,” Alex jokes.
“Then let’s go to the trail before it gets dark,” said Lilly.
“On your marks, get set, GO!” Alex screamed before they even got to the trail.
“Funny,” I said, “but now the animals are running as fast as race cars.”
“Oh well,” Alex chuckled.
“Do you want to start here?” I said more than asked.
“Sure,” replied Alex.
“Maybe we can see the animals that didn’t run,” I said hopefully, “like that squir-”

You can’t walk on that foot yet! Are you ok?” Alex implied as he rushed over.
“Thanks for helping me, but what happened?” I said as I got situated back in my bed.
“We were jogging in the woods and you twist your ankle in hole, falling, and hitting your head on a rock. I carried you to your bed and called my aunt because she is a doctor, and I had no clue if the injuries were serious.” Alex explained as he put the drink and chips down.
“Thank you, but did you call my parents;” I asked, “how serious were the injuries?”
“I called your parents after my aunt told me about the injuries, and they said that they would leave in the morning because it was the earliest flight available. Your injuries are nothing to worry about; it is only a twisted ankle that you need to rest because if you irritate it it will get worse, and you have a very small concussion. Because of your ankle and head, you need to rest to get better.” Alex rambled on as he sat on my …show more content…

“Yes, but only if you rest all weekend,” answered Alex.
“Ok, but are you staying or going?” I asked with much question.
“Of course I am staying. I’m not going to leave you here by yourself, anyways, you are a baby deer, clumsy, you will get hurt again.” Alex said with confidence.
“Haha, you're right, and thank you for staying with me.” I replied with gratitude, “Anyways that hole jumped out at me, so it's not my fault.”
“Right, I forgot that holes knew how to jump,” Alex joked.
“I guess you did, and your sarcasm is a gazel gracefully passing by.” I giggled with amusement, “Wait, how long was I out?”
“You have been out for about a day.” Alex said with concern in his playful eyes.
“What?! Why did you stay here all that time? You must be as tired as someone who just ran five miles!” I exclaimed while I turned to face Alex.
“It was worth it as soon as you woke up. I am just happy that you are ok and safe. That is all that matters, and besides that, I had tv and I took a few naps on the couch.” Alex almost said with laughter.
“Ok, but if you are tired then go take another nap, I will be fine on my own.” I said with emotion and
