Creation and the Fall
“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth”1 (Genesis 1:1).
As we look back in history we can see many beginnings, but the beginning referred to in this verse is a beginning that defies understanding to the extreme. We see one of the most amazing creations in this world in a newly born child, yet that creation pails in comparison to that of the creation on the world. Look around you and imagine nothing. That’s the way in was before the Lord gave us the first of many gifts that have been bestowed upon the human race.
When you really break it down you can see that all things are truly created by God. Some may disagree and say that man has created everything from nails to computers, but the Lord created the materials that are used to fabricate this devices, thus He has created all. “When we know that He created all these things, we can know that He has an eternal purpose”2.
Verses 3-5 talk about the creation of light and separation from darkness and how the Lord called the light day and the dark night.
Genesis 6-7 reads, “And God said, ‘Let there be an expanse between the waters to separate water from water’. So god made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above it. And it was so”3.
It is believed that the water that is spoken about that was above is no longer in existence today. This water layer that is referred to would help explain way people in Biblical times lived for so many years. “Like the ozone layer the water vapor layer reflects short-wave radiation out of space. At the other hand long wave radiation is passing through. This long wave radiation however reflects on the earth's surface but, going back, it reflects on bottom side of the wat...

In Genesis chapter 1:2 God 's spirit was hovering over the surface of the waters." before God changed anything water existed on the Earth. In the sky tree it says that "In the beginning, earth was covered in water." so water had always been on Earth since the start. In the creation story in How the World Was Made it states " in the long time ago, when everything was all water" once again water was before anything else. Another way that these creation stories are similar is that the land came from beneath or was brought up above the water. In Genesis 1:9 "God said, "Let the waters under the sky be gathered together to one place, and let the dry land appear '" here God pulled the water away from some land and it became dry and livable. The Sky Tree depicts that "all of the water animals began to dive down and bring up soil... and placed the soil on Turtle 's back." this is what created the

In the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens, when no plant of the field was yet in the earth and no herb of the field had yet sprung up - for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was no one to till the ground; but a stream would rise from the earth, and water the whole face of the ground - t...

There are many similarities between The Hymn to the Sun and Genesis. They are both insights of how the world was created, however there are many ways the two stories can be interpreted. The Hymn to the Sun focuses on the people of the land worshiping the sun because of its benefits. Light was the main symbol because it was a representation of life and positivity. The comparison of Genesis and The hymn to the Sun ranges from how light was created to how humans were created.

In Genesis, god created merely by speaking. It was god who created the heavens and earth also known as cosmos. Water was already pre-existent matter; everything else was created by god. It all began when god spoke in the darkness and said let there be light and there was light. God saw that the light was good. During the day there would be light, and the darkness would be at night. By the second and third day, god created a firmament (dome) which separated the waters from the waters. God called the firmament heaven and said that all the waters under heaven should be gathered as one allowing for dry land to appear. This created one place for the water and another place for dry land. It was the dry land that beca...
All three of the creation stories, How the World Was Made, The Sky Tree, and Genesis, share several common characteristics. One of these characteristics includes how, when the world was first created, the earth was all water before any land was created. For example, in How the World Was

Every day God created something new and blesses it. God created nothing irrelevant or unworthy. Entirely everything he created served a purpose. Also all he had created came from nothing. The fish were undeniably produced out of the waters, and the beasts and man out of the earth; but that earth and those waters were made out of nothing. God created what is known as the world today and everything that exists on the earth. Reading Genesis 1 gives all mankind an idea of how life started and how the earth was formed to be this magnificent place. The earth is very complicated yet God could solve all of the problems and create blessings. He gave us light and darkness, day and night, water and land. He created all living creature including mankind.
“In the creation of the heavens and earth, and the alternation of the night and day, and the ships which sail the seas to people's benefit, and the water which Allah sends down from the sky - by which He brings the earth to life when it was dead and scatters about in it creatures of every kind - and the varying direction of the winds, and the clouds subservient between heaven and earth, there
