It was pleasure to learn about how you arrived at your decision to major in AIS and I enjoyed our conversation about the changes in DSP, along with our observations of AKPsi. Our interview reminded me of why I decided to come out for both rushes and why I want to be a part of the fraternity. I enjoy being able to learn about other’s experiences and how they have influenced someone's college life. I believe that taking the time to finally meet and extend our relationship beyond speed-dating or resume critiques is invaluable. Good luck on the CPA
Therefore, I learned at the end of the interview that this career that I chose to pursue is very diverse. Meaning, there are endless routes, that branches out from this one field of study. The possibilities are endless; however, hard work is still expected. This interview did not reshape my objectives and goals. It has rather made me realize to stick to my goals and objectives. It has reminded me, to continue to be the best; by learning from the best and surrounding myself with the best.
Over the course of the semester, I have learned a lot regarding the process of writing. When comparing my open letter to my DSP, it is very clear how much this process has progressed for me. When writing my DSP, I wrote the initial draft and then edited for grammar, but not really content. When writing my open letter I made quite a few changes to content and had more rounds of revision. My process was as follows: I wrote a brief outline, then I wrote the first draft, then considering the comments that I usually make on my peers’ essays I made structural and content changes, then I sent my essay to my peers for feedback, then I made even more content changes, then I received instructor feedback, then I made even more content changes, and finally I made the final grammatical changes. Clearly, the process for the open letter was significantly longer than the
enjoyed meeting you and learning more about the job and school district. It was interesting to hear about the job responsibilities and those that I would be working with.
In terms of professionalism, I have learnt a lot, especially how to conduct myself during an interview. This is my third interview in front of you, and I can proudly say how much more confident and less nervous I am right now that my first time in September. This will most certainly be a big advantage for me as I move on to the real world looking for employment.
The sample that I chose from my Application of Literature and Writing class is my 1984 reflection. When I did my first draft of this assignment over the summer it was very below par; however, after I went back to school I learned a much more successful way of writing papers and applied what I learned to my final draft. My final grade for this assignment was a 50/50 or 100%. This assignment helped me realize that I still have much to learn before I graduate and that I need to stay open-minded about new information. I will not only use the skills I learned about how to write a professional paper when writing papers in college, but I will also stay more opened-minded about different perspectives throughout my entire life.
I am hoping that the career as a financial advisor is right for me from what I hear from everyone, it seems like a pretty good field to get into. During this paper I plan to find whether this career is actually for me or if it’s time that I change my major yet again. Since I really don’t know what I want to do with the rest of my life, and the career as a financial advisor is just something that came to me in my thoughts I really hope I can find what I need to know to make a decision if this is what I want my life to be.
This interview was for me to be informed more about pursing a job in the dentistry field, and what he went through before his success in the field. Dr. Rappa was very honest and informative on the essentials it takes to become a dentist. While doing the interview I asked a few questions and he was very open with answering as open inly as possible. One question was about him preparing for college :how was college for you ? “College was ruff for me I was a really poor student, I rarely had money for school had a great academics but since money was tight, I was missing class and doing horrible at first because I had to work as well. But once I spoke with one of the advisors and they got me on financial aid and from there I started to become more focused and started to excel through the courses." Dr. Rappa was let me know that him and I are almost the same and not to ever give into not conquering my dream of becoming a dentist. He also shared that once he was in dental school he
The LCAP program is designed to prepare students for their future it also allows students to give back to their community and gain experience from it. This program helps students get experience in different field areas. I volunteered at AMITA Health Care. I was assigned to check patients in for MR scans CT scans and help them find rooms. I also delivered flowers to ill once. I was also a cashier in the gift shop. I enjoyed this experience learned a lot from it. I will never forget this experience.
This class was not what I expected it to be. When thinking about an Ap class my first thought was lots of boring hard work, difficult material, and advanced testing. Instead, it was more working hard to expand individual abilities, getting more practice, and digging deeper into our skills. The atmosphere of the class was more laid back, free, and open than I had expected and I believe it paved the way for more improvement.I’ve done these self-reflections multiple time during my time in high school, in which case I would normally have pulled them out of my butt and then hoped for the best. However, this class has changed that because I truly have experienced more growth in my work over the course of the year. However, I feel that the growth in my abilities has been concentrated to specific areas such as; my confidence in my writing and ability to
Keep AP; At the end of the lesson, I asked a student a question and her answer took a while which caused me to forget what I had asked her. Since I could not remember what I asked her, I agreed on the wrong definition for the wrong word. Also, when asking the students questions, I asked using casual conversation skills verses correct literacy skills.
During the summer of 2017, I will be taking two courses in Anatomy and Physiology and also General Chemistry II lab. The goal with these courses is to further build my foundation in science, and to also improve my overall GPA. The mistakes I made during the first year of school have decreased my GPA, and so I hope that by taking these courses, and doing well, that my GPA will reflect more of the student I truly am. I have shadowed several neurosurgeries, and this experience was insightful. I watched complete disc replacements, lumbar fusions, and cranial incisions. I was able to watch the anesthesiologist intubate the patient and prepare them for the procedure. The surgeon provided me with step-by-step instructions as he performed
This experiment made me think about how living on my own is not easy. With living on my own there a lot of responsibility. It let me know that you can no longer spend money on things you want because you need it to pay for bills and food. This is how this experiment made me think about living on my own.
After watching the interview and being able to have a good understanding of what she was talking about felt great. It’s always nice to see knowledge applied outside the classroom. A rush of pride is given to yourself, as an emotional
My second goal is to become a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). I plan to take the CPA exam immediately after my completion of Master’s program. The CPA certificate will not only to show my competence in independent work but also promote my opportunities to enter a managerial position. To realize my long-term goal of becoming a partner of Ernst & Young, I must be a role model who is familiar with advanced-level knowledge and certification exam.
The three students I focused on all struggled because they had a partial understanding of how to use a protractor. These students were confused about which way they should measure their angle. Instead of following the numbers the way their angle opened, they measured it from the opposite side. This resulted in a large number when they were measuring an acute angle. These students still had a partial understanding of how to use their protractor because they set it up correctly. The angle measurement they should have had was 57 degrees. These students’ answers were around 123 degrees. This means that their protractors were set up correctly, they were just looking at the wrong side.
