Accidents can happen at any time to anyone but you’ll never know when. In the book Counting by 7’s by Holly Goldberg Sloan, Willow doesn't find friends easily but her good friend Mai finds the good in her that other people can’t see in her. I can relate to this book because when I was four years old my mom and I were going down to the gas station. just a few miles from our house and my mom was not paying attention to the road because I was crying, She turned her head back and before we knew it we hit a tree head on. I can see how Willow has been feeling because my family was worried about me and my mother and they still have us but Willow lost her parents for good she cant have them back, I can only imagine Willow’s pain. Counting by 7s is a book about a twelve-year-old girl named Willow, She has a strange obsession with nature and has been diagnosed with medical conditions. She never met her parents and she was an adopted child. She didn't have close friends or close family the only people she was close to was her counselor Dell Duke, Mai,Pattie and her adoptive parents. She found it hard to make friends but she and mai were always close may found the good in her. She went to the hospital to see the magazine of the car accident from the hospital Willow had ran off they couldn't find her.
