...need to be able to efficiently manage the use of their cell phones. We must be able to hold ourselves accountable for texting at appropriate times. We have to be able to know when it is a right and wrong time to engage in texting. If we do not, the government will continue to have to waste its time, effort, and resources to ensure that individuals are not abusing the convenience of text messaging. So, it is on a personal level that society must correctly use this amazing power. When driving a car, a person must have the clarity of mind to put down their cell phone. When their body physically hurts from over texting, they must put down the phone and take a break. The text message has so many potential upsides that it is crucial that society learns to be responsible with this power. Part of my job is not only to communicate or deal with my patients, doctors, other nursing staff, direct care staff, family and guardians, but also with different care teams such as habilitation therapists (OT, PT), pharmacists, dietary department, psychologists, psychiatrists, facility administrators and external care teams as well. Both oral and written form of communication are equally used at my workplace. There’s always a constant communication between healthcare teams and our clients. Our facility upgraded to electronic charting just for over a year now. Although the technology is kept on advancing from day to day, there are some clinics that are still using old method in handling their records. Piles of files in registry counter sometimes make the place looks messy and it takes a large space to store all the records of their patients. Sometimes, they cannot find a record due to misplace and the records might be lost. Each time they want to retrieve the records, they have to find based on the series number which sometimes the file is placed not according to the series number. This process will take more time than it should be. There are some clinics that are already implementing an electronic medical record and it gives positive impacts to their record management. Other than reduce time in retrieval the records of patients, the system also help to manage all the records efficiently. Besides that, by using this kind of system, the use of large space can be reduced. Same goes to the cost, the organization (clinic) can save more in terms of stationary and they do not have to hire many workers to manage their records.

More demands are being placed on offices to be fast, efficient, accurate, and dependable. Depending on humans alone would take too long to get certain jobs done. In addition, the level of human error would be too high. To reduce this, companies hire more workers, but this would result in the company having to pay more workers which causes them more money. In order for offices to keep up with these demands, they use office equipment to make their office more productive. Although an office might purchase office equipment, if it is not used correctly it is not an asset to the company. In this report, I will show how the uses of office equipment can make an office more effective and productive.
