Today students are expected to follow the path of elementary school, middle school and college. We are raised to believe that one needs higher education in order to succeed in life. College education is no longer an option, but has become necessity. But being able to go to college has become like a dream for some students because of the rising costs. College costs are getting so high that it is hurting students education, students are coming out of college and are unable to attend university of their choice. This shows how the cost of college is increasing each year. Some students try to find solution to pay for college by having several jobs. Most of the time to earn enough money to pay for college education is impossible with part time jobs. Working while going to school leaves no time for students to study. Without studying, they will have low grades and gradually fail. Working through college will have negative impacts on academic performance. Many students may drop out. Some students cannot go to certain schools based on cost. Some students have the grade and credentials to go to these big schools and they really want to go but can’t go because of the cost. Lot of athletes coming out of high school have an opportunity to play at a huge school but cannot afford to attend it. Money becomes the factor in college choice.
