The career path that I have chosen was computer engineering. I chose this career because I have spent my entire life around computers, and had experience working with programming languages and the hardware. I gained further interest in computer engineering after I took an AP Computer Science class in high school. In the class I was required to use programming languages to create different types of programs which challenged me. This inspired me to want to learn even more about the computer science field and to learn more java script and programming languages. Skills and abilities that are required in this career path is electrical, logistical, and technological skills to be able to solve hardware and software associated problems. As well as …show more content…
I will also be required to learn and have experience with the programming language that they will require me to work with. The most frequently used programming languages right now would be C++, Java Script, and Python, so a safe bet when trying to get a job, is to have knowledge in these programming languages, how ever you can contact the company and find out which programming language you will have to work with to prepare yourself. Steps to advance in this career is to expand your knowledge on hardware and programming languages. For hardware, the better your understanding is with new hardware, the better you will be working in the field. And with programming languages, you will be able to avoid problems and solve them if they were to ever appear. Your experience and knowledge with programming languages is very crucial as mistakes in this field could cost lots of time, and sometimes even money, which is why there is a huge demand for computer programmers and …show more content…
Computer hardware engineers work to design, develop and test new computer parts, or work with old ones. For example, a newer graphics card could be worse than an older one, because the newer one was probably designed for people who mainly use their computer for office work, or games with less intense graphics that are better optimized. I personally feel confident and very excited to enter this career path. I believe that I will be able to advance my knowledge in programming languages and stay up to date with new advancements in the field. I also feel confident in my ability to be able to write code, and solve any mistakes that might occur. I do feel a bit nervous as the person that I did my informational interview told me that the consequences for mistakes on the job costs a lot of time and even thousands of dollars, however, this helps me better understand how important my job is, and will help keep me on my toes at all
What I know is there are a large number of different fields computers offer. Almost everything we do or see has some sort of computer use around us all the time. Stores like to use computer software for registers and doors triggered by sensors. Most schools offer classes online and my daughter who is in the third grade does most of her school homework online. I know they rely on computers for aerospace jobs such as, exploring space and planets with robotics. I know that I see people on cell phone everywhere I go. That show we as a human race depend on the use of computers. What computer field should I go into and what steps do I need to take to reach my goals?
Then, by the summer, the goal is to have somebody set up for me to job shadow. In the fall of my senior year, I will begin applying to graduate programs and will continue to attend job fairs. The biggest challenge I can foresee with this career is experiencing burnout. In my interview with Brittney Clark, one of her biggest pieces of advice is to practice good self-care and coping strategies and to try and not bring your work home with you since it is such an emotionally demanding job, which may be a struggle for me at first. I plan on overcoming this challenge by setting up a time weekly to take care of myself, whatever that might
I choose welding as a main career choice because growing up I have always played with fire and have always loved melting things down. At first I wanted to be a fireman but they put fire out so once I saw that welders melt stuff down I choose that. My momma always told me to choose that as a career since I stayed playing with
Computer hardware engineering is a major where people deal with various parts of computer hardware like motherboards and microchips in multiple ways and want to see beyond the computer parts to look at the ins and outs of it. They are the ones that produces the technology that remains a big phenomenon all over the world from personal computers to cell phones, and continues to improve on it for generations to come. They use this knowledge to do multiple things including helping consumers with their computer problems, analyzing public data to determine what the public needs and how to make it happen, and produce their own computer hardware by planning their own designs to produce new hardware for commercial, consumer, and military use, test it out, and then distribute it out for use.
Right now I have a fairly accurate idea concerning what I want to do with my life. My love for computers has taken me a long way and I have a strong feeling that I will continue in the field of computer science. Yet, I am also aware that I may change my mind several times before I begin a career. College will introduce me to new and various things, and I will develop new interests from this exposure. The world of technology is changing rapidly and computers seem like the best way to go. When I combine that and my love for computers I am almost certain that the field of computer science is right for me.
In larger firms, you’ll be hired probably as a junior computer engineer and work your way up to senor and maybe manager of engineers.
My Career The career field I chose is to be a firefighter. The reason why I want to be a firefighter is because they help people and prevent fires from spreading. I’ve always wanted to help people everywhere, because I don’t like it whenever there is an accident and some people die and lose their loved ones, people talking crap about them and just talking and pointing the cameras in their face watching them cry. I want to help people and make a difference and help protect people’s lives, and be someone people recognize when I walk by them.
... be Marine careers or working at McDonalds, computer skills are pretty important. It is also important to have a strong computer mathematics and science background. The most important study in this field is statistics.
For a career, I would like to be involved in the fast developing computer industry and more particularly with the Internet. I think it has immense potential and I would like to be able to develop the Internet to make it help the lives of day to day people. In this way I would also like to help make computers more like humans with for example voice operated user interfaces.
Computer engineers build and design computers and computer-related media (OCIS). A constantly changing career, computer engineering is offering more jobs now than ever before. Webmaster, HTML programmer, JAVA programmer, Online Content Developer. Five years ago such job titles didn't exist, but then neither did the work thousands of people are engaged in today. Once upon a time, computer programmers and electrical engineers were the only computer-related jobs. Now more jobs such as marketing, sales, product development, human resources and finance have joined the list of technological jobs.
The multitudes of extracurricular and academic activities I participate in were chosen because of their focus on my interests. I want to pursue a career in computer engineering and/or biological engineering. In order to help me accomplish this I carefully consider how extracurricular and academic activities will assist me in the future. Currently I am participating in several rigorous academic courses such as AP Physics C and AP Calculus BC to gear me towards a college environment, as well as a variety of clubs that focus on engineering and the sciences. A vast majority of the classes I take are advanced placement, which gives me the chance to obtain college credit before entering college. Advance placement classes also challenge me with faster paced instruction, which prepare me for the speed and difficulty of college level courses. I am currently taking AP Biology, AP Computer Science A, , AP Literature and Composition, AP U.S. Government and Politics, Pre-AP Chinese IV, and Honors Independent Research. In terms of extracurricular activities, I currently participate in the Stock Market Club, Science and Engineering Club, our school’s FRC team, and Chinese Club. In my free time I enjoy building computers, putting together parts lists for computers, programming, playing video games, and learning about various technical jobs and new computing technologies such as server administrator and quantum computing.
The field of Computer Science is based primarily on computer programing. Programming is the writing of computer programs using letters and numbers to make "code". The average computer programer will write at least a million lines of code in his or her lifetime. But even more important than writting code, a good programer must be able to solve problems and think logicaly.
My career choices have changed through the years from mother and housewife through architect, accountant, or teacher, finally I have arrived at a computer career. The following is an idea of the path I have followed.
Most people imagine their dream job is to become a famous actor or a job they have seen done many times. Though because of the progression of technology I would be more suited in a field involving computers. My dream job is to become a successful software engineer because I have always been into computer systems, but can I fit this job, is the career life something I can manage and what opportunities should I go after when becoming a software engineer. Each time I notice how a program is used I wonder how can I make it become faster or more efficient. When you are using your cell phone or iPad there is usually an update at every month. This is because apple is improving the speed of your applications. A software engineer is sometimes overlooked, but without software engineer’s applications would either crash or would not improve. Although most people may feel looking at a computer all day and trying to fix it is uninteresting, I find it challenging
First of all I had no much computer programming skill from the past , but I do have some short-term programming courses completion. of course the basic idea from the past about python language programming is a big deal to me to prepared myself early for this class. Otherwise not easy to find out exactly what is going on around computer language program; programming a computer is not so simple and controlled within a short period of time, computer programming is need big time and a lot of effort.
