Days ago, Taylor Swift and Martha Hunt spent their time together supporting model Gigi Hadid when she's ramping at the New York Fashion Week. Taylor was spotted dancing and enjoying herself with Martha when her ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris' music was playing. It was the track that Taylor was the co-writer of the song. Both Calvin Harris and Rihanna are performing that song. Three of them are close friends, and they were spotted most of the time hanging out with each other. These three awesome and beautiful ladies are spending their time together when they're not busy. Recently, Taylor Swift broke up with her former beau, Tom Hiddleston, due to something that she didn't agree about having marriage and children. Both Virginia Woolf and Annie Dillard are extremely gifted writers. Virginia Woolf in 1942 wrote an essay called The Death of the Moth. Annie Dillard later on in 1976 wrote an essay that was similar in the name called The Death of a Moth and even had similar context. The two authors wrote powerful texts expressing their perspectives on the topic of life and death. They both had similar techniques but used them to develop completely different views. Each of the two authors incorporate in their text a unique way of adding their personal experience in their essay as they describe a specific occasion, time, and memory of their lives. Woolf’s personal experience begins with “it was a pleasant morning, mid-September, mild, benignant, yet with a keener breath than that of the summer months” (Woolf, 1). Annie Dillard personal experience begins with “two summers ago, I was camping alone in the blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia” (Dillard, 1). Including personal experience allowed Virginia Woolf to give her own enjoyable, fulfilling and understandable perception of life and death. Likewise, Annie Dillard used the personal narrative to focus on life but specifically on the life of death. To explore the power of life and death Virginia Woolf uses literary tools such as metaphors and imagery, along with a specific style and structure of writing in a conversational way to create an emotional tone and connect with her reader the value of life, but ultimately accepting death through the relationship of a moth and a human. While Annie Dillard on the other hand uses the same exact literary tools along with a specific style and similar structure to create a completely different perspective on just death, expressing that death is how it comes. ...
Jay and Daisy fell in love at the army party, but they could not marry. Jay was everything Daisy was not. Daisy was a rich debutante with a great last name, while Jay was a penniless man. (Fitzgerald) After Jay left, Daisy married another man, Tom Buchanan, who is a rich man that lives in East Egg. Gatsby returns from war and makes money as a bootlegger and soon becomes one of the richest men in West Egg.
I could see that Tom and Daisy weren’t happy, but yet they weren’t unhappy either, and maybe they really did love each other.
In the poem, the character would often use words that had double meanings. In lines 6 and 7 of the poem, it stated that the character was “afraid of what it means and ashamed because he has no other means”. I believe that Meredith chooses words with double meanings to emphasize how the character has approaches to the letter. While the words sound the same, they each carry a different avenue of approach. Similarly, the character in the book is torn between what emotion he has toward the contents in the letter he received.

The entire book revolves around his one selfish desire to be with the woman he loves, Daisy Buchanan. Gatsby is well aware that Daisy is married to Tom Buchanan, but that does not stop him. Personal fulfillment has to do with achieving life’s goals which are important to an individual. The two authors, Helen Keller in The Story of my Life and Frederick Douglass’ in Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass an American Slave, share a similar goal to learn to read and write during a time in their life of extreme hardship. Both Keller and Douglass demonstrate the necessary attributes required to develop as individuals and progress in life. Their dedication and determination, their positive attitude and gratefulness along with their life experiences are what drove Douglass and Keller to achieve what no one could believe they were capable of due to their backgrounds.

For the past 30 years Madonna has become a well-known artist, actress, and role model to the people who support her. All artists know that they are only number one until someone else comes along and replaces them with more intriguing work to offer. Lady Gaga has been said to be the new Madonna of our generation and is quite often compared to her in many ways by her musical and styling choices. They both share similarities such as their musical genre, style, feminine empowerment, and their support towards the gay community. Their differences can also be seen in those same fields as well.

Ever since I was in eighth grade, I have been obsessed with Taylor Swift. She has been my role model since I was thirteen. When you look at most singers today, they have to be singing about drugs or alcohol, using vulgar language, or performing half-dressed. You never see Taylor Swift doing anything that she would be ashamed of later in life. On the other hand, she has had many relationships that have lasted short time periods. At least, she is not getting married for 72 days or even 24 hours such Kim Kardashian or Britney Spears. This is why I chose to write a research paper on her.
