Recommended: The digestive system and body

The two body systems I will be discussing are the digestive system and the cardiovascular system. The digestive system has a group of organs which work together and convert food in to energy and the basic nutrients to feed the body. The food passes through a long tube inside the body which is known as the alimentary canal or the gastrointestinal tract (GI tract). The alimentary canal is made up of pharynx, oral cavity, stomach, small and large intestines and oesophagus.
The cardiovascular system consists of the heart, blood vessels. This is responsible for transporting oxygen and nutrients to all the cells in the body. This consists of the heart and blood vessels running through the body. The arteries move the blood away from the body and the veins move it to the heart. They both work together and help each other out. The circulatory system transports blood and nutrients. This also transports the nutrients which are made by the digestive system. The organs which are used in the digestive system need the circulatory system to digest food. It also needs the blood which the circulatory gives for nutrients, also having to spread the nutrients so body is functioning in the correct way. The circulatory system also needs the digestive system because without the digestive system. It would not be able to distribute nutrients to the body. The digestive system helps the body digest food. It contains the liver, stomach, the small and large intestines, pancreas, gallbladder, rectum and oesophagus. These organs work and help digest
