When authors write about the same subject, they usually have some similar things that they write in their text. True, some things are going to be different on what they are discussing about. The same is true with the authors who wrote about the topic on the struggle for freedom. When they do that, they usually put it in their own words. Even though each writer has different ideas, they both address the struggle of freedom in their society.

Both of the authors mentioned that it took time for the courts to make the freedom available to everyone. For example, both of the authors mentioned that from the 1700's to the 1960's, there were laws that had segregation for those with darker skin. According to NOBODY TURN ME AROUND: March On Washington, it said: "We can never be satisfied as long as the Negro is the victim of the unspeakable horrors of police brutality." (Euchner 180) This quote tells us that people with darker skin suffered prejudice in the form of physical brutality. They were suffering for having 'colored skin'. It was really not fair for them to suffer because America promised to be a country of freedom and equality. That is the final thing that all of the authors who wrote about the subject on the struggle for freedom have mentioned.

The authors who wrote on the subject the struggle for freedom, they all have this in common, they all wrote about there country having the same struggle as the one that they wrote about. They both mentioned the struggles by the fact that people had to wait for the law to fix it; that some did not have the opportunity to enjoy freedom in the country; and on top of that, those ones who had a different ethnic background faced prejudice.
