I will tell how the Call of the Wild book is different than the movie and how the movie is different than the book.As well as contrasting I will also compare them. The movie was extremely different than the book. There were so many different things, I can't explain, but I am. The movie and the book were opposite in some parts.There were so many same things too. In the book John Thornton came by events leading up to it. In the movie John came at the very beginning. In the book, John Thornton didn't leave his home in America. The four Indians, Lone Ranger, Ishmael, Robinson Crusoe, and Hawkeye, are based off icons of the white people in the colonial era. These pieces of literature have an underlying tone of imperialism (Maithreyi 3). By trying to fix the world they try and revere the effects in which colonization had on the Blackfoot people. They begin this by changing the ending of the popular western hollywood movie. The movie portrays a stereotypical view of the indigenous culture. King hopes to dispel the ideas of these stereotypes and does so by changing the movies. Alberta is introduced by teaching her students about the history of Fort Marion. The four Indians are imprisoned in Fort Marion, but unlike history, they escape (Gomez-Vega 13). The 4 Indians try to fix the effects of colonialism on Lionel. ““By the time Lionel was six, he knew what he wanted to be. John Wayne. Not the actor, but the character,” who was the idealized westernized man (King 241). This presence of western ideas in Lionel left no room for a Native future. The 4 Indians set out to revise these ideas in Lionel. As Lionel accepts his culture, he stand up again George Morningstar at the Sun Dance to protect his culture, resembling and revising history (Totter 13-14). Overall, the movie and book have many differences and similarities, some more important than others. The story still is clear without many scenes from the book, but the movie would have more thought in it.
The novels Call of the Wild by Jack London and Brian’s Winter by Gary Paulsen both reveal aspects of character, personality through the thoughts and actions of the character. The authors, both create the main character’s personality by showing the reader how the character adapts to the surroundings, about the levels of intelligence of the character's in their settings, and the aggressive instincts of the character's. These aspects provide the reader with a complete understanding of the development of the character.
The main difference between “The Last of the Mohicans” book version by James Fenimore Cooper and “The Last of the Mohicans” movie version, generally speaking, is that the book has a more adventurous theme and the movie has a more love and romantic theme. Never the less, both stories were extremely interesting.
The movie and the story had some of the same characters but some weren't exactly the same. The movie introduced many different characters and changed some of the others. For example, the movie had the plant lady and had the mentor of Anderton as the founders of Precrime while in the book, Anderton was the only founder of Precrime. Also, Witwer wasn't blond he had black hair and Kapler wasn't named Kapler he was named Crow. In the story they had the red head Fleming who did not exist
There are usually differences in two different versions of something. This can often be seen when a book is made into a movie. There are many similarities and differences in the book and movie versions of To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee.

In the novel Big Fish by Daniel Wallace, we are told the story of Edward Bloom, a man of many adventures, who is somewhat of a myth. Big Fish is a collection of the tall tales Edward tells his son about his life, and also of the effect his tales had on his son. The novel comes from an American author from Alabama, while the movie comes from Hollywood and is directed by Tim Burton, who is also American. This story is not an ancient sacred text, so the story’s function(s) is to entertain and to make money.
First of all in the book it gives much more detail than the movie. The book written by wilson rawls is much more heartwarming than the movie that was made in 1974. The book had a lot more detail than the movie, the movie has missing events that were in the book. For example in the book Billy had three sisters in the movie
“My life was taken from me-by one of you !” ( Raskin, pg. 34). In the book The Westing Game by Ellen Raskin a series of roller coasters comes up in this murder mystery. This story has an up and down of emotional events. The Westing Game book and movie contains many similarities and differences that are worth exploring.
In conclusion, details involving the characters and symbolic meanings to objects are the factors that make the novel better than the movie. Leaving out aspects of the novel limits the viewer’s appreciation for the story. One may favor the film over the novel or vice versa, but that person will not overlook the intense work that went into the making of both. The film and novel have their similarities and differences, but both effectively communicate their meaning to the public.
One thing that can make a book good is characters. In the book, there were many more animals in the farm. The movie did not show many animals except for the main animals. Even thought this is a small difference, it can be noticeable. In the book, Mollie was a character.

Would you adapt in order to live and survive or would you be totally enveloped in the chaos and just give up, and become unmentioned? In Jack London’s book “Call of the Wild”, we are taught that anyone or thing can be taken from its surroundings and hurled into a world where one has to learn how to survive.
Into the Wild, a novel written by Jon Krakauer, as well as a film directed by Sean Penn, talks about Chris McCandless, a young individual who set out on a journey throughout the Western United States, isolating himself from society, and more importantly, his family. During his travels, he meets a lot of different people, that in a way, change his ways about how he sees the world. There are many characteristics to describe McCandless, such as “naïve”, “adventurous”, and “independent”. In the book, Krakauer described McCandless as “intelligent”, using parts in his book that show McCandless being “intelligent”. While Krakauer thinks of McCandless as being “intelligent”, Penn thinks of McCandless as a more “saintly” type of person.
Romeo and Juliet, a story of a tragic romance between two young lovers. And within the story you find that it is different from the book to the movie. While reading the book you notice some differences between it and the movie. While watching the movie you see one difference and it is that instead of swords like the book they have guns and they called them swords. They did this as a result of the movie is in a more modern time than the book. Another difference is when Mercutio is making Romeo go to the party. In the book he talks him into going to the party. In the movie Mercutio made him take a tablet or pill of some kind to make him go. Still the same as the other difference, still in a more modern era.
