To all employees of PeopleFirst LLP,

The California Indoor Clean Air Act of 1976 declares tobacco smoke as a health hazard to the general public. The law defines smoking as the “act of lighting, smoking or carrying a lighted or smoldering cigar, cigarette or pipe, reclassified e-cigarettes and vapor products of any kind.” California prohibits smoking in all enclosed workplaces, both private and public, including vehicles, parking garages and covered parking lots, and common areas such as lobbies, restrooms, break rooms, stairwells, and elevators. The Los Angeles ordinance prohibits smoking within 10 feet of outdoor dining areas and food courts and within 40 feet of food carts and mobile food trucks. As required by LAMC 41.50.B.1/CA State Labor Code 6404.5(b) and LAMC 41.50.B.1/CA State Government Code 7597 the following smoking policy has been adopted and shall apply to all employees. The Smoke-Free Workplace policy applies to:
▪ All areas of buildings occupied by company employees.
▪ All company-sponsored off-site conferences and meetings.
▪ All vehicles owned or leased by the company.
▪ All visitors (customers and vendors) to company premises.
▪ All contractors and consultants and/or their employees working on company premises.
▪ All temporary employees.
▪ All student
