A community is defined by Merriam-Webster as, “A unified body of individuals.” The question is, what sets a Christian community apart? Christian community is described throughout 1 John as community of believers who have decided to live walking alongside each other, loving each other, and speaking truth into each other's lives for the sake of the Kingdom. Christian community, if it is built upon 1 John ideals, is a great gift designed and given by God to believers. 1 John 3:11 says, ”For this is the message that you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.” We were created, as people, to live in community together and if one does not have love for fellow Christians then they have no community to support them in their walk. 1 John 4:7-8 says “Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.” Christ love and his ultimate sacrifice should overflow our hearts and Christians are called to spread this love to the world around us and it is apparent in every aspect of life. Our love is our testimony and should thrive as we walk together as a Christian community. 1 John 2:9-10 says,”Whoever says he is in the light and hates his brother is still in darkness. Whoever loves his brother abides in the light, and in him there is no cause for stumbling.” We should not hate our brothers and sisters in Christ but love them no matter what in light of knowing God’s unconditional love for us. Thomas Merton in his 1 John excerpts says, “We are obliged to love one another. We are not strictly bound to “like” one another. Love governs the will: “liking” is a matter of sense and sensibility. Nevertheless, if we really love others it will not” We do not have to like everything about every fellow beliver in the community but rather love them as God loves us, despite our actions in a forgiving
Seeing as how we are all God’s children, made in His image, it is important to understand the necessity to love and respect one another while glorifying Him in the process.
Two key verses here are Matthew 22:37, “…You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind”, and Matthew 22:39, “…You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” There are plenty of examples on how Jesus fulfilled these laws throughout His life, such as devoting His whole life to God and with showing love to people who, by society’s eyes, did not deserve it. However, the biggest example of the way He fulfilled these laws are in His death. Before Jesus’ death, He became afraid like any human would. After the Lord’s Supper, Jesus went alone and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me” (Matthew 26:39).
As ancient Rome began to fall, Christianity began rising. Around 2,000 years ago, Jesus of Nazareth was born, later to be known as the Messiah or Son of God. When people of the Roman era began to hear of such a powerful being, they began to convert to Christianity. The account of creation is something that is extremely important in the Christianity worldview. It not only shows that our creator is thoughtful and wise in all that he does, but it shows that he is more powerful than one can even imagine. When God was creating the earth he made sure that everything happened in the order that it needed to so that everything in creation would fall into place. As God created all that is around people today he knew what would happen to his creation in the future. Many people would not believe that worldview would be involved in the topic of work, but it certainly is. Worldview stretches throughout almost every facet of our lives and is even an intricate part of work. Christian and secular viewpoints differ immensely when it comes to work. Many Christians believe that work is an intricate part of God’s plan for mankind while the secular viewpoint sees it as more of a personal, everyday activity the serves no more of a purpose that that of personal success. The secular worldview has distorted the context of work and only the Christian worldview can redeem it to its original context.
In Christianity, the emphasis is placed on love of God rather than on obeying his will. People must believe that God is merciful and loves them as well. As a reflection of God’s love, people must also love other people (and the whole humanity in general) and forgive their enemies.

I believe there is one characteristic of a good Christian that if we practice with one another this church will be filled with Christian lovers of the word of God. So what is this characteristic that we need to practice? Ephesians 4:32 32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. There is a bunch of us that didn’t get this memo, we aught to read this verse every day and make an extraordinary effort to be kind to one another. We should repeat it every day of our life, “BE KIND I better be kind” especially when we come to church and meet new people, new folks.

Jesus Christ was the light that came to earth to brighten the lives of the people. He taught phenomenal and meaningful lessons that changed many hearts and caused people to accept Jesus as their Lord. Jesus Christ is the life of Christianity; the Word of God in flesh. His life, his ministry, and his crucifixion where prophesied long before he was born and Christians believe that they were all fulfilled. He had so much love for human kind that he came to earth to die for the sins of the people, so that their souls would be able to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. The Bible testifies that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who taught memorable life lessons and performed astonishing miracles during his ministry.
The word love is mentioned in the Bible an average of 437 times, depending on the translation, so love is important to the basis of Christianity. One of the most profound pieces of Scripture discussing love is the overused John 3:16, which reads: “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life” (The New Oxford Annotated Bible). This verse brings up the subject of sacrifice, reminding the audience that they have been saved through someone’s death and resurrection. Jesus was crucified so people he had never met would have eternal life in Him; He loved humanity so much that He was willing to die for us to save us. Since Jesus is wholly man and wholly God, we are also able to say that God loved humanity so much that He was willing to die for us to save us.
